Desperation Move By Janet Porter

Via Right Wing Watch:
Faith 2 Action's Janet Porter is currently leading an effort to pressure Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine "to file a Motion to Rehear Obergefell v. Hodges" with the Supreme Court, so that the recently decided gay marriage case can be reargued, this time without the participation of Justices Elena Kagan and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, whom Porter insists must recuse themselves. The window for filing such a motion closes tomorrow and having received no support from DeWine, Porter is now getting increasingly desperate and has expanded her call to the attorneys general of Michigan, Tennessee, and Kentucky, sending out an email today warning that they will be responsible when "Christianity is criminalized" and Christians are "carted off to jail" because they failed to get the gay marriage decision overturned
See the full crazy rant here.

Janet Porter: Demand That Ohio Requests Rehearing Of Obergefell By SCOTUS

"Are you upset about what the Supreme Court did to marriage? Now, there’s something you can do about it. We can ask the court to rehear the case because two justices violated the federal law which states, 'Any justice… of the United States shall disqualify himself in any proceeding in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned.' [28 U.S. Code § 455] Justices Kagan and Ginsburg both officiated homosexual so-called weddings, which disqualifies them from ruling on the case. Ask Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine to file a motion for rehearing the marriage case at: 800-282-0515 because it was illegally rendered. Ask him to call for a motion for rehearing the case." - Janet Porter, writing for BarbWire.

RELATED: Porter's recent anti-gay film features Rand Paul, Mike Huckabee, and Theodore Shoebat, the latter of whom has called for executing all homosexuals and all Christians who support same-sex marriage.

Hate Groups: For $50 We'll Tell Congress To Issue A Restraining Order On Marriage

Here's a laugh. Brian Tashman writes at Right Wing Watch:
A coalition of far-right groups, including Faith 2 Action, Americans For Truth About Homosexuality, BarbWire, Vision America Action and the Judicial Action Group, wants Congress to order the Supreme Court and other federal courts to “cease and desist” from ruling on same-sex marriage cases. In a letter to Congress, which it dubs a “Restraining Order,” the coalition claims that the “judicial usurpation” on marriage “fueled a government assault on Constitutionally protected First Amendment rights of pastors, churches, business and facility owners, employees, public officials, organizations, ministries and citizens.” Of course, the coalition is asking for as much as $49.95 to send the letters to members of Congress.
Listen, they have a website so this is totally serious.

Janet Porter: Boycott Tylenol For Including A Family With Two Moms In Their Ad

Tylenol is made by a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, so Porter should probably also boycott their other OTC healthcare products: Sudafed, Pepcid, Motrin, Immodium, Mylanta, Benadryl, and Zyrtec. Better get that flu shot, huh?

ReaganBook Becomes FreedomBook

Back in July we all had a lot of fun with hate group crackpot Janet Porter's launch of ReaganBook, a conservatives-only social media site meant to counter those homofascists at Facebook. Today JMG reader Sean tips us that the URL for ReaganBook now redirects to a placeholder page for a site called FreedomBook. I'm betting that the Reagan estate sent Porter a stern cease-and-desist notice.

Janet Porter Is Onto You

Hate group leader Janet Porter is very upset that her new anti-gay site, ReaganBook, is being flooded with fake members. Just look at who liked her post! I tried joining as Joan Quigley, but gave up because the site was so slow. (Tipped by JMG reader Ronald)

Hate Group Leader Janet Porter Launches Anti-Gay Facebook Alternative Called ReaganBook, Much Hilarity Ensues

Kyle Mantyla writes at Right Wing Watch:
Last weekend, the Ohio Liberty Coalition hosted a "Reload 4 Liberty" event at which Janet Porter spoke about her never-ending push to get her anti-choice "Heartbeat Bill" legislation passed in Ohio. But apparently that is not all that Porter is up to these days, as she also revealed to the audience that she'll soon be unveiling something called ReaganBook, which aims to become "the Facebook for patriots." Because Facebook is run by the sorts of people who march in gay pride parades and supposedly censors messages from anti-gay activists like Peter LaBarbera, Porter explained that she decided to launch ReaganBook as a conservative alternative. "We're tearing down walls, get it?" she said. "We're tearing down walls of tyranny, or censorship."
At this writing ReaganBook has 303 members, including Bathtime For Bonzo, Chazwomp Hogswallow, Cirrhosis Trash, Corn Holey O, Duke Nukem, Dig Bick, and...well, you can see what's going on. Snork! (And fly, monkeys, fly!)

Janet Porter: The National GOP Should Copy Texas On "Ex-Gay" Platform Plank

Via Brian Tashman at Right Wing Watch:
Janet Porter of Faith 2 Action is so happy about the Republican Party of Texas’s decision to embrace ex-gay therapy as part of its new far-right platform that she wants similar language endorsing the pseudo-science "adopted nationwide." She might find allies in Tony Perkins and David Barton, members of the 2012 Republican National Committee platform committee who are both vocal supporters of ex-gay therapy. In 2012, Perkins claimed that his Family Research Council joined forces with Eagle Forum to shape the national GOP platform. Eagle Forum is the same group that successfully added the ex-gay language to the Texas GOP platform.

Janet Porter's Silly Lie About Porno Pete

"American pro-family leader Peter Labarbera has been arrested in Canada. First, Peter Labarbera was denied entry into Canada as a potential violator of the country's hate propaganda law because of his biblical stand for natural marriage. [LIE] But thanks to some conservative members of Parliament, when Peter LaBarbera appealed the Canadian border security agency's decision, he was permitted to enter the country and speak at a Saskatchewan pro-life event. LaBarbera and Canadian activist Bill Whatcott were then arrested at the University of Regina for handing out pro-life and pro-family materials. University provost Thomas Chase defended the arrest, claiming the pro-family materials could 'harm the campus community.' Welcome to the criminalization of Christianity." - Faith2Action hate group leader Janet Porter, parroting the lies about the arrest of Porno Pete.

FACT CHECK:  If opposing gay marriage were grounds for denying entry to Canada, millions of Americans would have been refused entry by now. Hate groups also routinely claim that the SPLC puts them on their hate group list merely because they oppose gay marriage.
