SOUTH KOREA: US Ambassador Slashed In Face, North Korea Applauds Attack

Via RT News:
North Korea has said the razor attack on the US ambassador to South Korea, Mark Lippert, was “just punishment” for the two countries’ joint military drills. The assault has left the US official’s face slashed, but he is now recovering. Lippert was at a breakfast forum earlier in central Seoul when the attack occurred. During the attack, Lippert was slashed in the face by an unidentified man, a witness told Reuters. Other outlets are reporting that the assailant used a razor. Outlets are reporting that the man yelled, "No drills for war," referencing joint military drills conducted by the US and South Korea.

North Korea Calls Obama A "Monkey"

Via Reuters:
North Korea called U.S. President Barack Obama a "monkey" and blamed Washington on Saturday for Internet outages that it has experienced during a confrontation with the United States over the hacking of the film studio Sony Pictures. The National Defence Commission, the North's ruling body, chaired by state leader Kim Jong Un, said Obama was responsible for Sony's belated decision to release the action comedy "The Interview", which depicts a plot to assassinate Kim. "Obama always goes reckless in words and deeds like a monkey in a tropical forest," an unnamed spokesman for the commission said in a statement carried by the official KCNA news agency, using a term seemingly designed to cause racial offense that North Korea has resorted to before.
China's official news agency is also reporting that North Korea's 3G mobile phone networks are "paralyzed" today.

Most Major Theater Chains Pull The Interview Over Terrorist Threats
UPDATE: Sony Has Pulled The Film

Via the Los Angeles Times:
The nation's leading theater chains are pulling the plug on screening "The Interview." Regal, AMC and Cinemark -- the three largest chains in the United States -- have decided not to screen “The Interview” when it debuts on Christmas Day in the wake of threats made by Sony hackers, said people familiar with the decision. The chains have asked Sony to postpone the release date of the controversial film. The decision represents a major blow to Sony Pictures Entertainment, which has been under siege by a hack attack that became public Nov. 24. A representative of Sony Pictures Entertainment declined to comment. Late Tuesday, Carmike Cinemas, the fourth-largest theater chain, with 2,917 screens in 41 states, became the first major exhibitor to scrap plans to screen "The Interview."
More from the Associated Press:
The fallout from the Sony Pictures Entertainment hack that began four weeks ago exploded Tuesday after the shadowy group calling themselves Guardians of Peace escalated their attack beyond corporate espionage and threatened moviegoers with violence reminiscent of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The Department of Homeland Security said there was "no credible intelligence to indicate an active plot against movie theaters," but noted it was still analyzing messages from the group, dubbed GOP. The warning did prompt law enforcement in New York and Los Angeles to address measures to ramp up security.
UPDATE: Sony has pulled the film entirely.
In light of the decision by the majority of our exhibitors not to show the film The Interview, we have decided not to move forward with the planned December 25 theatrical release. We respect and understand our partners’ decision and, of course, completely share their paramount interest in the safety of employees and theater-goers. Sony Pictures has been the victim of an unprecedented criminal assault against our employees, our customers, and our business. Those who attacked us stole our intellectual property, private emails, and sensitive and proprietary material, and sought to destroy our spirit and our morale – all apparently to thwart the release of a movie they did not like. We are deeply saddened at this brazen effort to suppress the distribution of a movie, and in the process do damage to our company, our employees, and the American public. We stand by our filmmakers and their right to free expression and are extremely disappointed by this outcome.
Sony could lose $100M.

Photo Of The Day

Via Pink News:
A picture of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un visiting an orphanage has gone viral – and you will never guess why. The supreme leader of the secretive state was seen in photos released today, visiting a state-funded children’s home. However, eagle-eyed internet users spotted two plush toys behind Kim Jong Un – who appear to be simulating anal sex. While there’s nothing to confirm the placement of the toys was intentional, the winky face of one seems to be too good to be an accident.
The official position of the North Korean government is that homosexuality does not exist there.

Dennis Rodman Apologizes: I Was Drunk

"I want to first apologize to Kenneth Bae's family. I want to apologize to my teammates and my management team. I also want to apologize to Chris Cuomo. I embarrassed a lot of people. I'm very sorry. At this point I should know better than to make political statements. I'm truly sorry. I had been drinking. It's not an excuse but by the time the interview happened I was upset. I was overwhelmed." - Former NBA star Dennis Rodman, apologizing for his bizarre rant on CNN earlier this week. Rodman says his dream of "basketball diplomacy" with North Korea is falling apart.

Dennis Rodman Sings For Kim Jong-Un

Yesterday Dennis Rodman sang "Happy Birthday" to North Korea's brutal dictator before leading a team of former NBA stars in a match against local players.
Rodman dedicated the game to his "best friend" Kim who, along with his wife and other senior officials and their wives, watched from a special seating area. The capacity crowd of about 14,000 at the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium clapped loudly as Rodman sang a verse from the birthday song. Along with Rodman, the former NBA players included ex-All Stars Kenny Anderson, Cliff Robinson and Vin Baker. Also on the roster were Craig Hodges, Doug Christie, Charles D. Smith and four streetballers. Rodman said he was honored to be able to play the game in the North Korean capital, and called the event "historic." To keep it friendly, the Americans played against the North Koreans in the first half, but split up and merged teams for the second half. The game is a new milestone in Rodman's unusual relationship with Kim, who rarely meets with foreigners and remains a mystery to much of the outside world.
Rodman earned international headlines yesterday after a bizarre and bellowing interview with CNN's Chris Cuomo.

Dennis Rodman Vs CNN's Chris Cuomo

Pure craziness. Via Mediatite:
Former NBA star Dennis Rodman has taken serious criticism over his ongoing relationship with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, and his resistance of pressure to leverage that relationship for the release of imprisoned American Kenneth Bae. In an interview with CNN New Day host Chris Cuomo, which aired Tuesday morning, Rodman went a step further, essentially accusing Bae of some unspecified offense, and bellowing his way through the balance of the interview. Former NBA star Charles Smith, who had been acting as the group’s spokesman to this point in the interview, tried his best to wrangle Rodman, but when Cuomo asked about Bae, an incensed Rodman waved Smith off.

Matthew 26:26

Things are so bad for the people of North Korea that the usually hyper-secretive government recently openly begged for food assistance from Mongolia. There are even multiple reports about cannibalism.  Therefore a group of American evangelicals have been using hydrogen balloons to float food parcels over the border. Oh, wait. I lost my mind for second there. They're floating BIBLES across the border. Delicious, nutritious bibles.
Pastor Foley and his group drop the Bibles into North Korea in hopes that people in rural areas will be able to discreetly pick them up. But they know that spreading these bibles is potentially dangerous for anyone who picks them up. Owning a Bible is a crime in North Korea and one that will get the offender and three generations of his or her family sent to a prison camp. In sending the Bibles over the border to North Korea, Pastor Foley hopes that North Koreans will read the scripture and see that the ideology they are forced to believe 'is all a fraud'.Foley and his group won the legal rights to conduct the balloon launches from South Korea, but officials there "don't make it easy," he said, noting that they often try to force hydrogen suppliers not to sell the group hydrogen. "Every time we fill up one of these balloons, we hold it and we pray together in English, North Korean and South Korean," Foley said. "We pray loudly and always with tears."
RELATED: Several weeks ago the South Korean government pledged to send millions in actual food and medicine to North Korea through UNICEF.

UPDATE: Here's a short promotional clip about the project.
