Radio Shrieker Dana Loesch Poses With Sandy Hook Gun On New Book Cover

For her new book cover, wingnut radio shrieker Dana Loesch poses with the same style of gun used to murder 20 children in Sandy Hook. Glenn Beck's The Blaze says the cover "will drive liberals crazy."
In the book, the co-founder of the St. Louis Tea Party and 2012 winner of Accuracy in Media’s Grassroots Journalism Award — not to mention fearless enemy of progressives — provides readers with a comprehensive guide to why the founders created the Second Amendment, the disastrous consequences of anti-gun legislation — particularly on women — and what citizens can do to protect themselves against a government and complicit media hell-bent on violating such rights. Having gone toe-to-toe with leftists on the issue many times, Loesch’s book further serves as a “how-to” guide for defeating the arguments parroted by the mainstream media and its champions.
The AR-15 was also used this week in Oregon's school shooting. Dana Loesch:
“Gun control is the ultimate war on women. Firearms are the equalizer between the sexes. Sam Colt made us equal, indeed. This book explores that, the racist roots of gun control, and debunks the biggest arguments made by anti-gun extremists. The AR is on the cover because it is the most vilified, misunderstood rifle in America, responsible for the fewest crimes. Education is the antidote to ignorance. Consider this book the medicine.”
I'm sure the parents of all those murdered children will appreciate having their misunderstanding corrected by Dana Loesch.

Piers Morgan Vs Alan Gottlieb

This is the freak show that declared the anniversary of the Newtown massacre to be "Guns Save Lives Day." Via Mediaite:
The interview began in a hostile foundation and exploded when Gottlieb laughed at Morgan after he quoted the family member of a victim of the massacre at Newtown. “That’s totally over the top,” Gottlieb stressed. “You plan a campaign to promote the good side of guns on the first anniversary of the worst mass shooting at a school in American history, and you have the gall to laugh when I read out a quote from one of the victim’s families? How dare you,” Morgan shot back. “How dare you laugh.” “That doesn’t allow them to use that day either to attack my rights,” Gottlieb countered. “How many times a year do you attack gun rights on your show?”

Gun Freaks Exploit Newtown Anniversary

Beyond disgusting.
In an appalling bid to “own” the Dec. 14 anniversary of the Newtown slayings, a coalition of gun lovers has announced plans to declare that horrific date “Guns Save Lives” day. “We are going to use the day to get our views out,” said Alan Gottlieb of the Second Amendment Foundation. “We don’t want (pro gun-control groups) own that day. ... We are gonna be there first.” It was a proclamation that had people who lost family members at the hands of a crazed gunman at Sandy Hook elementary school shuttering. “Dec. 14 is a sacred day for Newtown families that should be about our loved ones — not this disgusting political stunt,” said Erica Lafferty, the daughter of murdered Newtown principal Dawn Hochsprung. “These people will be trampling on the graves of the innocent children and educators who were murdered that day.”

154 Rounds In Five Minutes

More details have emerged about Adam Lanza:
Adam Lanza left a home stuffed with weaponry and carried out the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in a 154-bullet barrage that took less than five minutes, investigators said Thursday in the first detailed account of his surroundings and troubled state of mind. Search warrants from the second-worst school shooting in American history revealed that the home Lanza shared with his mother in Newtown, Conn., was a veritable arsenal: Authorities found at least nine knives, three Samurai swords, two rifles, 1,600 rounds of ammunition and a 7-foot, wood-handled pole with a blade on one side and a spear on the other. Authorities also recovered a National Rifle Association certificate, seven of Lanza’s journals, drawings that he made and books from the house, including an NRA guide to the basics of pistol shooting.
Also found was a Christmas present check from Lanza's mother for him to buy another gun.

CONNECTICUT: Gun Nuts Heckle Father Of Slain Sandy Hook Child

How low will teabaggers go? This low:
A false fire alarm, 45-minute waits to get into the Capitol complex, even the heckling of a bereaved parent of a Newtown shooting victim marked Monday's day-long legislative hearing on gun control. "The Second Amendment!" was shouted by several gun enthusiasts in the meeting room as Neil Heslin, holding a photo of his 6-year-old son, Jesse Lewis, asked why Bushmaster assault-style weapons are allowed to be sold in the state. "There are a lot of things that should be changed to prevent what happened," said Heslin, who grew up using guns and seemed undisturbed by the interruption of his testimony.
Beyond disgusting.

Obama Announces Control Plan

Politico has the breakdown of today's speech:
President Barack Obama on Wednesday announced what he called a “common sense measures” plan to reduce gun violence, including legislation for a universal background check and new bans on assault weapons and high capacity magazines. He also initiated 23 executive actions aimed at improving background checks, school security and mental health care, in an effort to go around Congress wherever possible. “I intend to use whatever weight this office holds to make them a reality,” Obama said in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, joined by survivors of gun violence and several children who had written to him after the December shooting in Newtown, Conn. “If there’s even one thing that we can do to reduce this violence, if there’s even one life that can be saved, then we have an obligation to try. And I’m going to do my part.” Obama’s actions and proposals are the first sweeping gun control ideas to come from the White House in a generation, but he said there was no more time to waste. “This is our first task as a society: keeping our children safe. This is how we will be judged,” Obama said. “We can’t put this off any longer.”

ARIZONA: Sheriff Joe Apaio Sends "Armed Posses" To Public Schools

What could possibly go wrong?
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's armed volunteer posses are set to begin patrolling areas around Phoenix, Ariz. schools on Monday, more than a week after the plan drew national attention in the wake of the deadly mass shooting at an elementary school in Newtown, Conn. Arizona's 3TV reports that Arpaio's volunteer force is comprised of around 3,000 members, some of which have criminal pasts.

According to CBS5, Arpaio's office has provided a list of more than 50 schools in unincorporated Maricopa County that will be patrolled by the posses, which are in charge of providing all of their own weapons and equipment. The volunteers will not actually be posted on school campuses, but will instead monitor the areas around the facilities. Posse member Jerry Johnson told 3TV that they'd be ready to fight crime if they felt they were needed.
Arpaio was sworn in for a sixth term this morning.

Quote Of The Day - Ron Paul

"Do we really want to live in a world of police checkpoints, surveillance cameras, metal detectors, X-ray scanners, and warrantless physical searches? We see this culture in our airports: witness the shabby spectacle of once proud, happy Americans shuffling through long lines while uniformed TSA agents bark orders. This is the world of government provided 'security,' a world far too many Americans now seem to accept or even endorse. School shootings, no matter how horrific, do not justify creating an Orwellian surveillance state in America." - Ron Paul, responding to NRA head Wayne LaPierre's call for armed guards in every public school. Paul's Tea Party followers will surely not be pleased.

Feminism Caused Sandy Hook

"There was not a single adult male on the school premises when the shooting occurred. In this school of 450 students, a sizeable number of whom were undoubtedly 11- and 12-year-old boys (it was a K–6 school), all the personnel — the teachers, the principal, the assistant principal, the school psychologist, the 'reading specialist' — were female. There didn’t even seem to be a male janitor to heave his bucket at Adam Lanza’s knees. Women and small children are sitting ducks for mass-murderers.

"Some of the teachers managed to save all or some of their charges by rushing them into closets or bathrooms. But in general, a feminized setting is a setting in which helpless passivity is the norm. Male aggression can be a good thing, as in protecting the weak — but it has been forced out of the culture of elementary schools and the education schools that train their personnel. Think of what Sandy Hook might have been like if a couple of male teachers who had played high-school football, or even some of the huskier 12-year-old boys, had converged on Lanza." - Charlotte Allen, writing for the National Review.

So far the wingnut-o-sphere has blamed Sandy Hook on feminism, Satan, video games, gay marriage, and the lack of prayer in public schools.  What could possibly be next?

RELATED: Allen has responded to widespread criticism of the above-linked piece.

Satan Planned Sandy Hook

"Everyone is a sinner but some people get extra prodding from the evil one. Mark David Chapman killed John Lennon on a December day 32 years ago. Chapman claimed to hear a voice in his head telling him to 'do it, do it, do it.' Satan whispers to anyone who will listen to him. We will never know what voices Adam Lanza heard in his head or what they were telling him. But whatever was going on at the time, Adam made the decision and acted on his wicked intentions and decided to do it, do it, do it. That degree of cold-blooded viciousness must in some way be connected to the influence of Satan.

"When Adam entered the school, it was like Satan himself was entering. The evil angel had a very willing vessel through whom to work. But even in the midst of such terror and tragedy, Satan can never outsmart Jesus on any level. Satan cannot keep those children from entering heaven to live with Jesus forever. Likewise, Satan cannot steal your joy in the Lord as long as you refuse to hand it over to him. And Satan cannot do whatever he wants....because he is not sovereign. Only God has that attribute." - Dan Delzell, writing for the Christian Post.

Hate Group Leader Bradlee Dean: Obama Planned Sandy Hook Shooting

"The Sandy Hook shooting occurred just days after Sen. Rand Paul sent out an alert that the U.N. was set to pass the final version of the Small Arms Treaty, supported by Obama the day after election. Part of the treaty bans the trade, sale and ownership of all semi-automatic weapons like the one Adam Lanza used to kill 20 children and 6 adults. When the 'fire' is started, these government gun banners are right there to strip away your rights in an attempt to gain control under the guise of 'putting out the fire.' Adolf Hitler was responsible for attacking his own Reichstag to start a world war. Hitler was also responsible for sending his brownshirts to incite the people so he could play the role of solving their problems. No one believed Hitler was guilty of these crimes until after the fact. Then it was too late." - Hate group leader Bradlee Dean, writing for World Net Daily.

The Bulletproof Backpack

John Aravosis notes that you can also get the Disney Princess and Avengers versions. One website is actually selling them as the "Amendment II Ballistic Backpack."
Our ballistic backpack provides built-in ballistic protection in a backpack that weighs just ounces more than a non-armored backpack. RynoHide carbon nanotube armor is lined in the back panel of the backpack. Sewn into the rear of the pack, you can always be confident that the armor hasn’t been accidentally left at home and that you or your child are protected in case of the unthinkable. The backpack can be quickly brought to the front as a shield or can serve as center of mass protection while fleeing the scene of the shooting. Available in boys, girls, or teen/adult models and Level II (.357 Magnum, .45, .40, 9 mm) or Level IIIA (.44 Magnum, .357 SIG and below) protection.
They sell for $300 and are reportedly flying off the shelves since Friday.
