BROADWAY CARES: Win Tickets To The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me

Courtesy of Broadway Cares, we've got a pair of tickets to the fundraising one-night-only revival of The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me, which plays the Gerald W. Lynch theater on Monday, May 20th.
For its 20th anniversary, The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me will be re-imagined from a one-man show to one featuring an ensemble cast performing a play that The New York Times originally called "rivetingly angry, intense, frenetic, frank and touching." The special performance is produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and benefits BC/EFA and Sero Project. The one-night-only benefit performance of The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me features an ensemble of talented actors taking on the story, including author Drake, Brandon Cordeiro, two-time Tony Award nominee Robin De Jesús, two-time Tony nominee André De Shields, Claybourne Elder, Tony nominee Rory O'Malley, Anthony Rapp, Chad Ryan, Donald C. Shorter, Jr., Wesley Taylor, Aaron Tone and Tony winner BD Wong.
Enter to win by commenting on this post. If you cannot be in Manhattan on the night of the show, your winning entry is transferable to your favorite local theater buff.  Please remember to leave an email address in your comment. Entries close at midnight on Friday, Broadway-time.  Buy tickets here.

Swag Tuesday

Courtesy of the Karpel Group, today's Swag Tuesday prizes are the two holiday releases from Everything But The Girl vocalist Tracy Horn and the popular indie duo, She & Him.
A Very She & Him Christmas is a wonderful collection of holiday tunes from two of music's most impressive artists Zooey Deschanel (She) & M. Ward (Him). Inspired by seminal holiday albums by the likes of The Carpenters, Vince Guaraldi, The Beach Boys, Elvis Presley and more, She & Him have set out to create an intimate holiday recording of Christmas classics that helps bring new emotions out of old songs. With each purchase, a portion of proceeds from this album will be donated to 826National.

Following her acclaimed 2010 album, Love and Its Opposite Tracey Thorn presents a Christmas album, Tinsel and Lights, featuring ten seasonal cover versions, two new original tracks, and "Green" from Scritti Politti.  Produced by Ewan Pearson, Tinsel and Lights features Tracey s famously rich vocals and contributions on guitar and piano. Her longtime partner, Ben Watt guests on guitar and piano on several tracks. Leo Taylor (Adele, Hot Chip) plays drums, Steve Pearce - who played on Everything But The Girl's feted album, Idlewild - is on bass, while Pearson adds signature synths and electronics.
We have five copies of each release to give away. Enter to win both CDs by commenting on this post. Only enter once and please remember to leave an email address you check frequently.  Entries close at midnight on Thursday, west coast time. Publicists: If you'd like to take part in Swag Tuesday on JMG, please email me.

NOTE: The She & Him album is a 2011 release being reissued for this year.
