Quote Of The Day - Rush Limbaugh

"I found myself in an elevator with Mrs. Clinton once. It was at a wedding, Brooklyn, doors locked, she hits the stop button. She said, 'Oh Rush, I've wanted to see you for so long, and nobody would believe it. Would you, would you make a real woman out of me?' I said, 'Sure, let's take off our clothes.' So I took mine off, and I pointed and I said, 'Now fold them.'" - Rush Limbaugh, speaking on yesterday's radio show.

Beware The Dangers Of Emo-Porn

Focus On The Family warns women that the "emotional porn" of soap operas and romance novels only sets them up with unrealistic expectations of how men should behave in real life. Don't expect real men in the real world to be emotionally available! Really!
Just as wives rightly complain when compared to the artificially created women of Internet porn, men should complain when compared to the artificial men of daytime television. In the real world where real men burn through a lot of emotional battery life to make a real living, being expected to behave like men who don’t exist is more than wrong. It’s cruel. Emo-porn creates caricatures in the minds and hearts of wives. Most men just aren’t and cannot be that attentive, especially in marriage where responsibilities to provide weigh heavy upon them. Husbands are quietly deemed unresponsive and uncaring when compared to emotionally dexterous hunks of daytime lore, chat rooms, celebrity rags, and romance novels. Thus a secretive and snowballing form of marital discontent is born and nurtured.

RNC: Nancy Pelosi = Pussy Galore

The Republican National Committee goes after Nancy Pelosi with this clip featuring split-screens of the James Bond Goldfinger character Pussy Galore.

Politics Daily reacts:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi can sit back and enjoy her Memorial Day picnic basket after all, because the Republican National Committee has thoughtfully provided her with a pre-holiday gift-pack in the form of a video so sexist that – no joke – it compared her to the Bond movie bad-girl Pussy Galore. (Pelosi Galore, get it? What will these kidders think of next?) Take the next coupla days off, Madam Speaker. Because ill-advised as it was, claiming you hadn't heard jack about waterboarding -- well, this classic and classless bit of woman-hating is just the diversion you were no doubt praying for. As the Washington Post reported earlier this week, the RNC posted a YouTube video, "Pelosi versus the CIA,'' that used the theme music from the 1964 Bond movie "Goldfinger" in which Bond, James Bond, goes up against, ahem, the criminal mastermind (and lesbian!) Pussy Galore.

This Charming Man

Dick Armey pissed off a lot of feminists yesterday.
In a heated debate over the state of politics and the economy on Wednesday night, former House Majority Leader Dick Armey almost certainly crossed the line of acceptable banter, telling his fellow panelist Joan Walsh that he was glad she could never be his wife because of her "prattle."

Appearing on Hardball, the two guests went back and forth over the contours of the current debate on the stimulus package being passed through Congress. Towards the end, however, the conversation devolved into gender-infused insults.

"I'm so damn glad you can never be my wife because I surely wouldn't have to listen to that prattle from you every day," Armey told Walsh, editor-in-chief of Salon.com. "That's what I'm talking about -- she's making a political malarkey here."

"Boy...that makes two of us sir," Walsh replied. "That was really an outstanding comment."
