Morning radio host Matt Walsh, 23, is running for mayor of Georgetown, Delaware. At a local teabagger rally on Friday, he was booed when he pleaded with the audience not to support Sarah Palin. Walsh responded by calling one audience member a "senile old punk." Moments later a man from the audience came up to the stage to hold an "INFILTRATOR" sign next to Walsh. Things get rolling at the 3:00 mark.

Rachel Maddow defends her use of the word "teabagger" which has hurt the witty-bitty feelings of the wingnuts. Maddow points out that the teabaggers themselves first used the word, and says that the expression first came into the pop culture via John Waters' 1998 movie Pecker. I don't know about that, I dimly recall first seeing the word in the title of a straight porn movie owned by a roommate of mine more than 20 years ago. In any case, teabagging is certainly more the province of straight porn (NSFW), and is not an exclusively gay (and therefore perverted) act as the wounded delicate kittens on the right are claiming.

A teabagger rally on a Fort Lauderdale street corner turned violent when counter-protesters from the pro-immigrant ANSWER group showed up. From the below clip shot by a teabagger (hence the inflammatory title), it's hard to tell who started what, but this is just the latest in a recent spate of tea party protests that have gotten physical.

"People wanna go against the word of God and live alternative, the media wants to crucify conservatives, just cuz we live by a set of principles, to me liberals are sick individuals." And more stuff about abortion, gay marriage, etc. I do like the bit about "patriotic people throw your hands in the air and wave 'em 'round like you just don't care."

"Conservative activists, who organized a march on the U.S. Capitol today in protest of the Obama administration's health care agenda and government spending, erroneously attributed reports on the size of the crowds to ABC News. Matt Kibbe, president of FreedomWorks, the group that organized the event, said on stage at the rally Saturday that ABC News was reporting that 1 million to 1.5 million people were in attendance. At no time did ABC News, or its affiliates, report a number anywhere near as large. ABCNews.com reported an approximate figure of 60,000 to 70,000 protesters, attributed to the Washington, D.C., fire department. In its reports, ABC News Radio described the crowd as 'tens of thousands.'" -ABC News, ripping on Michelle Malkin, Free Republic, and other wingnuts sites for falsely attributing outrageously inflated Tea Party Protest attendance numbers to ABC.

The headline on Free Republic about today's teabagger protest in DC gloats: "Turnout estimated (by ABC News) at 2 Million!!" Well, not exactly. Here's what ABC really says:
Carrying signs depicting President Obama as Adolf Hitler and the Joker, and chanting slogans such as "'No big government" and "Obamacare makes me sick," approximately 60,000 to 70,000 people flooded Pennsylvania Ave, according to the Washington DC Fire Department. Organized by FreedomWorks, a conservative activist group led by former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, many of the protestors were affiliated with the Tea Party movement, grassroots demonstrations that began across the country last spring to protest Democratic tax policies, and government bailouts of the banking and auto industries. But you know, wingnuts are probably even more famous for being liars than for being racists and homophobes. Why, Michelle Malkin says 2 million, so TWO MILLION it is!

Using a quote from the thrice-married serial adulterer Newt Gingrich as its title, the teabaggers are claiming this as their "battle cry." Lyrics recap: God, judgment day, revolution, guns, abortion, taxes, uppity Negroes in the White House. (The last is only implied, of course.) Note to teabagging subtitlers: it's Capitol Hill, not Capital.
