Iowa Supreme Court Justice: I Won't Let The Hate Groups Bully Me

"If someone wants to attack me, I’m not going to let them bully me. If asked to, I’ll speak up for myself. The others didn’t do that last time. I will. [snip] The court has sort of changed the way it did business since the last retention vote. We’re more open, we’re more transparent, and we’ve made a huge effort to reach out to the people of Iowa." - Iowa Supreme Court Justice David Higgins, who is the target of hate groups intent on ejecting the entire panel over their vote on same-sex marriage. Last year three justices lost their retention campaigns.
