GOP Christian Warrior By Day, BD/SM Vampire Rape Role Player By Night
Florida newspapers are going nuts about Jacob Rush, a conservative Christian, former sheriff's deputy and "straight shooter" who is running for the US House. Rush's campaign to unseat Tea Party freshman Rep. Ted Yoho is in turmoil after a Yoho supporter tipped the local media about Rush's hobby as a live-action role player in scenarios that include vampires, BD/SM, and rape fantasies.
SaintPetersBlog outed Rush’s secret life as a daywalker today, digging through his vast online history as a role-playing vampire member of local MES groups like the Kindred of Gainesville, wherein members take on the identities of vampires, werewolves, shape-shifters, and the like, and join together in the struggle “against their own bestial natures, hunters, and each other. Rush “is not some teenager playing Dungeons and Dragons in his mom’s basement,” they noted. “This is a game for adults, with adult themes. From a message posted by Chazz Darling, one of the characters Rush plays:
At first I thought you were just stupid and I wanted to stick my dick in your mouth to shut you up while I snorted a line off my new machete that was blessed by Rui (sic) but then I remembered that you were typing so my dick would really have to be in your hands to keep you from typing but since you are walking in Omaha that’s not really realistic right now. I’m sorry, I tried. Rae tells me that you are a Maiden, and it’s your job to be kind of stupid and that I’m not supposed to have intercourse with Maidens. You shouldn’t believe everything that people tell you or you’re going to end up naked and sore, tied to the floor of a van marked “Free Candy.”Yesterday Rush defended himself in a statement published by the Miami Herald.
"All my life, I’ve been blessed with a vivid imagination from playing George Washington in elementary school to dressing up as a super hero last Halloween for trick or treaters. Any cursory review of the Internet will show that I have played heroes and villains. I have never hid nor shied away from disclosing my hobby activities. When I was hired at the Sheriff’s office, I fully disclosed my gaming and theatre background on the application, and these hobbies posed absolutely no problem or raised any flags. [snip] Bottom line - There is nothing wrong with being a gamer. It’s kinda nerdy, but North Central Florida deserves a legitimate debate on the issues instead of Ted Yoho’s usual sideshow distractions."Some are denouncing the media furor as "anti-geek bigotry." Some are calling Rush the sort of names usually hurled at LGBT people. Others say that role-playing which includes violent rape scenarios raises serious red flags. Below is a campaign clip in which Jacob Rush plays a human male Republican.
