Remember The Party - October 7th

The 30th anniversary of San Francisco's seminal gay nightclub, the Trocadero Transfer, will be celebrated at the original location (now the Glas Kat) on October 7th in a night called Remember The Party.

Under the expert tutelage of my favorite DJ in the world, Jerry Bonham, revisit the heady days of "The Troc" in a nine hour marathon of disco classics. Check out last year's fantastic playlist. Tickets are $25. Advance tickets are available here or at Medium Rare Records in the Castro.

The Remember The Party site has lots of goodies about the history of the Troc, once host to such dance music innovators as Sylvester and Patrick Cowley. Also, check out the gallery of membership cards provided by former patrons.
