NYTimes Mag: "Is Charlie Crist The Ticket?"
Yesterday the New York Times Magazine published a Q&A with Florida Gov. Charlie "Closet Case" Crist as his star continues to rise as John McCain's possible choice for running mate.
The interview hits on Crist's centrist positions (for a Republican) and takes a shot at his perpetual deep tan, which Crist attributes in part to his Greek heritage. But the interview closes with a sly nod to Crist's 30 years of bachelorhood.
Back in February, I posted some excerpts from a New Times (Florida) article that dug into the rumors about Crist's gayness including an interview with the owner of a Tampa gay bar who confirmed that Crist was a frequent patron in the early 90's.You were married nearly 30 years ago, but the marriage lasted less than a year. Do you prefer living alone? I got married and divorced because it didn’t work out. I haven’t found the right one since. It’s really that simple.
You can’t find one woman in all of Florida? Maybe I have. Stay tuned.
