Flaunting Their Rights In Our Bars?
"Until same-sex marriage is legal everywhere and same-sex couples are allowed the rights as every heterosexual couple worldwide, we simply do not think it's fair or just for a female bride-to-be to celebrate her upcoming nuptials here at Cocktail. We are entitled to an opinion, this is ours." - From a Chicago bar owner who says that his customers have been complaining that heterosexuals have been "flaunting" their right to marry by holding bachelorette parties in his bar.
When I was last in DC, two dozen women were holding a bachelorette party at Town. While the women were generally delightful to watch as they became the focal point of the drag show, I did hear complaints about them "rubbing our noses in it."
