PR Firm Used By Mitt Romney Now Promoting Anti-Gay Manhattan Declaration

The PR firm hired to promote The Manhattan Declaration, a vow of disobedience to gay rights laws signed by about 150 Christian leaders, is the DeMoss Group, the wingnut outfit hired by Mitt Romney for his 2008 presidential campaign. From their about page:
The DeMoss Group is the nation’s first and largest public relations agency exclusively serving Christian leaders, organizations and causes. Since 1991, The DeMoss Group has been at the center of religion news, providing communications counsel and public relations support to many of the prominent Christian leaders, organizations and causes of our time. For seven years in a row, The DeMoss Group has ranked as one of the Best Christian Places to Work by Best Christian Workplaces Institute. Founder and president Mark DeMoss published his first book in 2007, The Little Red Book of Wisdom (Thomas Nelson), which to date has sold nearly 50,000 copies.
Romney hired the firm, primarily, to convince Christian voters that a Mormon could be trusted to be president. Its founder Mark DeMoss was also Jerry Falwell's chief of staff. DeMoss was the spokesperson for Liberty University in 1994 when it was roiled by an internal scandal when it was learned that the Moonie Unification Church had lent Falwell $4M. It's SO not surprising that a document that accuses LGBT people of wanting to kill babies, seniors and the disabled and compares same-sex marriage to incest would be promoted by somebody that worked for the most famously anti-gay person in American history.

RELATED: According to its website, over 15,000 people have co-signed The Manhattan Declaration since its publication a few days ago. The chickenshits won't display the bigots' names, but you can sign too. I won't tell you what name I used - let's just say I was a very naughty boy.
