Phil Says Six More Weeks
It looks like we're not getting a break from this lousy winter.
Punxsutawney Phil has emerged before revellers in Pennsylvannia to predict that winter will last another weeks. The Inner Circle of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club annually announces Phil's forecast at dawn on Gobbler's Knob, northeast of Pittsburgh. The tradition dates back to 1887 and follows a German idea that if a hibernating animal sees its shadow on 2 February winter will last another six weeks.
