On Monday my local companion Aaron and I attended Green Day's
American Idiot musical, which we both enjoyed a lot more than we had expected. I'm not big fan of Green Day (but I'm not
not a fan either), so I was surprised to recognize about half of the songs. Standouts in the cast were Stark Sands, who was
so fantastic as Charles Busch's gay son in
Die Mommy Die, and Tony Vincent as the creepy drug dealer, St. Jimmy. The show is up for Best Musical at Sunday's Tony Awards. You can catch a great documentary on
American Idiot on Logo this week.
