BALTIMORE: "Ex-Gay" Group Demands Discrimination Protection
As I reported last week, Baltimore County is considering adding sexual orientation and gender identity to its non-discrimination policies. The "ex-gay" group PFOX is now demanding that they too be protected from discrimination. Because whatever "ex-gays" are, it isn't a sexual orientation?
"Councilmember Quark's legislation must specifically include former homosexuals to ensure non-discrimination against unpopular minority groups like the ex-gay community," said Grace Harley. "No councilmember should vote for this bill if it excludes former homosexuals. Ex-gays like me deserve the same equal rights that gays enjoy. We urge Quark to include all minorities in his bill, and not just favored groups."Obviously, PFOX is trying to derail the entire bill. They pulled the same shit in DC two years ago.
Labels: "ex-gay", Baltimore, mental illness, still totally gay
