NYPD Increases Security At Cinemas

Concerned about copycats, the NYPD has announced that they will provide security details to the city's cinemas showing The Dark Knight Rises.
"As a precaution against copycats and to raise the comfort levels among movie patrons in the wake of the horrendous shooting in Colorado, the New York City Police Department is providing coverage at theaters where the 'The Dark Knight Rises' is playing in the five boroughs," Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said in a statement. Theater No. 9 at a multiplex in Aurora was packed with moviegoers just getting into a midnight screening of the newest Batman film when a man clad in black wearing a gas mask burst through the door.
