NC College: No Chikin In Our Food Court

The student government of North Carolina's Elon University has voted 35-11 to demand that the school administration eject Chick-Fil-A from its food court.
Dan Anderson, an Elon spokesman and one of the university’s vice presidents, said Chick-fil-A is on campus through Aramark, a food services provider that contracts with the company to provide food on campus. Despite that relationship, he said, Elon could instruct Aramark to find another vendor to take Chick-fil-A’s place. Anderson said Elon’s leadership talked with the Student Government Association during a summer retreat about what course it believed Elon should take as a result of the national Chick-fil-A controversy. “The SGA asked that we not make a decision at that time,” he said. Anderson said that has allowed for a series of conversations on campus about the issue.
North Carolina's Davidson College and Duke University have both already cut ties with Chick-Fil-A.
