NYC Food Relief Info
Occupy Wall Street activists have established several drop-off points for folks wishing to get food into the blackout zones across New York City. More information is being posted on the Facebook page Occupy Sandy Relief NYC. Food and money can also be donated to Food Bank NYC, whose warehouse on Hunt's Point was flooded during the storm. Cash donations can be made by texting FBNYC to 50555. The Red Cross is seeking NYC volunteers and donations. The NYC Public Advocate's office is seeking volunteers to help with the physical cleanup. All of NYC's public parks remain closed, but cleanup crews will be needed there too. I'll add more links to this post as they come in.
