FRANCE: Anti-Marriage Hate Marchers Lose Permit Battle In Paris Court
The group wanted to march down the Champs-Élysées next week just a couple of days before the US Supreme Court hears its cases. The cops said "Non!" and a Paris court agrees. Translation of the above by JMG reader David: "Paris administrative tribunal has rejected the #Manifpourtous request to cancel the police prefecture's ban." Judicial tyranny! (#Manifpourtous means "demo for all.") From Paris, David also sends us the below photo of a banner hung at the Arc de Triomphe, which reads, "Hollande, do you hear your people?" The anti-gay march will likely still happen, but the organizers haven't yet said where. The French Senate takes up the marriage bill early next month.
