Proctor & Gamble Backs ENDA

Consumer goods giant Proctor & Gamble has announced its support for the Employment Non-Discrimination Act.
“With Proctor & Gamble’s support, we see once again corporate America leading the charge when it comes to ending workplace discrimination,” said Matt McTighe, campaign manager for Americans for Workplace Opportunity, in a statement. “Employees should be judged on their talents, and everyone should have the opportunity to provide for their families - one of the most fundamental American values. With P&G’s support, the momentum for ENDA grows. We urge the Senate to pass this bill.” ENDA includes an exemption for religious organizations and small businesses with fewer than 15 employees.
The company presently ranks 28th on the Fortune 100 with annual grosses of over $85 billion. (Tipped by JMG reader Elroy)
