Eurovision 2014: Russia's Entry
Russia's 2014 Eurovision entry will be the Tolmachevy Sisters, identical twins who won the Junior Eurovision contest in 2006 at the age of nine. Unlike most nations, who selected their entries on live television with a combination of voting by viewers and judges, Russia's entry was "chosen internally by experts" at state-run media. Also unlike other countries, Russia has not yet provided a performance clip of their entry, instead posting the below photo montage of the twins from early childhood to today. In one of the photos, the twins are presenting flowers to a priest of the Russian Orthodox Church. As for the song itself - meh. Totally forgettable.
RELATED: Russia won Eurovision in 2008, the only time it has done so, with a a song written by American Jim Beanz, who has produced for Britney Spears, Jennifer Hudson, and many other well-known acts.
