PA Bridal Shop Rejects Lesbian Couple

Via the Associated Press:
A bridal store's refusal to sell wedding gowns to a same-sex couple is stirring debate in a central Pennsylvania town. W.W. Bridal Boutique owner Victoria Miller tells the newspaper that "providing those two girls dresses for a sanctified marriage would break God's law." Bloomsburg Town Council plans to discuss the incident at a meeting on Monday. Council members say they will consider whether to propose legislation to ban businesses from refusing to serve gays and lesbians.
Pennsylvania is one of 29 states with no statewide public accommodation protections for LGBT citizens although such protections exist in 34 municipalities in the state.

RELATED: A bill before the Pennsylvania state legislature would ban discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity or expression in employment, housing and public accommodations. It currently has 96 co-sponsors in the House.
