THURSDAY: Kansas Supreme Court Hears Marriage Equality Case

Via the Topeka Courier-Journal:
Less than a week after a federal hearing, supporters and opponents of same-sex marriage will once again meet in court, this time at the Kansas Supreme Court. The Kansas Supreme Court has scheduled oral arguments Thursday in the case of a Johnson County judge who directed a clerk to issue a same-sex marriage license in October. Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt, a Republican, is challenging Judge Kevin Moriarty’s decision. The oral arguments will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday. According to the Office of Judicial Administration, anyone interested in watching the arguments in person should arrive by 9 a.m. at the Kansas Judicial Center, 301 S.W. 10th Avenue.
Last week's federal hearing concluded with the judge saying that he will take the matter "under advisement." A ruling could come in that case at any time. Kansas remains the lone holdout under the jurisdiction of the Tenth Circuit Court.
