BREAKING: Fifth Circuit Extends Stay On Mississippi Marriage Pending Appeal

On November 26th, Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant and state Attorney General Jim Hood filed a motion with the Fifth Circuit Court which demanded an indefinite stay extension on the previous day's marriage ruling by a federal district court. The lower court's two week stay was scheduled to expire on December 10th and according to the state's demand, unless an emergency extension was granted, there could be another marriages on/marriages off  "debacle" as was seen in Utah. This afternoon the Fifth Circuit Court granted the state their stay extension. See the ruling at Equality Case Files. Sorry, Mississippi. There won't be any marriages this year.
