Correction To Miami Archdiocese Post
From the director of brand marketing at Barry University:
Greetings Joe, I hope you are well. I am writing in reference to your January 6 posting which discusses the Archdiocese of Miami’s recent letter to employees. Your post states that Barry University is operated by the Archdiocese. Unlike St. Thomas University, Barry University is not owned or operated by, nor is it not a sponsored institution of, the Archdiocese of Miami. Barry University was founded and continues to be sponsored by the Dominican Sisters of Adrian, Michigan. Barry University is an independent 501(c) (3) organization and has an independent Board of Trustees. We request that you remove mention of Barry University's name from your blog. If you are unable to remove, please edit the blog to include the correct information as provided above. My information came from the Wikipedia page for the Miami Archdiocese. I've updated my original post with the message from Barry University, who perhaps unsurprisingly, is not so keen at the incorrect affiliation.
