Alaska Cops: Palin Campaign Meddled In Johnston Arrest

Geez, this is a shocker. The Alaska State Troopers' union says that "political meddling" delayed their arrest warrant against Sarah Palin's co-grandma, Sherry Oxycontin Johnston, until after the November election. Palin's office denies it all, of course.

Thousands Of Gifts For Bristol's Baby

Wasn't Bristol Palin supposed to have a baby ten days ago? She'd better hurry because the baby presents are piling up. According to an interview with her grandfather, Bristol and the baby have already received thousands of presents from around the world, in fact he estimates they've gotten over 100,000 packages and letters. Seriously.

Meanwhile the details of the drug charges against her baby daddy's mama have become known.
The mother of Bristol Palin's boyfriend sent text messages to two police informants discussing drug transactions before her arrest on felony drug charges, authorities say. An affidavit filed Monday says Sherry L. Johnston sent text messages referring to "coffee" as a code for the drug OxyContin. The 42-year-old Johnston was arrested last week after state troopers served a search warrant at her Wasilla home. She is out on bail.

Johnston is the mother of 18-year-old Levi Johnston. Gov. Sarah Palin announced in September that her 18-year-old daughter Bristol was pregnant and Johnston was the father. Authorities say the case began in the second week of September — a couple of weeks into Palin's campaign as Republican vice presidential candidate — when drug investigators intercepted a package containing 179 Oxycontin pills. That led to the arrest of the suspects, who agreed to be informants. According to the affidavit, Johnston sent a text message to one informant Oct. 1, writing: "Hey, my phones are tapped and reporters and god knows who else is always following me and the family so no privacy. I will let u no when I can go for cof."
In a sick way, I can't wait for Palin 2012 so we can accuse her of "palling around" with drug dealers.

UPDATE: It's a boy.
Bristol Palin, the 18-year-old daughter of former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, gave birth on Sunday to a healthy 7 lb., 4 oz., baby boy in Palmer, Alaska. "We think it's wonderful," said Colleen Jones, the sister of Bristol's grandmother Sally Heath, who confirmed the news. "The baby is fine and Bristol is doing well. Everyone is excited." The baby's name is Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston, according to Jones. Baby Tripp takes his surname from his dad, Levi Johnston, an apprentice electrician and former Wasilla High School hockey player who has been dating Bristol for three years. Bristol Palin is currently residing in Wasilla and completing her high-school diploma through correspondence courses. Johnston is studying to become an electrician. He told the Associated Press in October that he and fiancée Bristol in 2009 and raise the child together.
Tripp & Trig. They'll make a great rap duo.

Levi Johnston's Mom Busted For Drugs

Sarah Palin's co-grandma-to-be was arrested on drug charges yesterday.
A 42-year-old Wasilla woman was arrested Thursday at her home by Alaska State Troopers with a search warrant in an undercover drug investigation. Sherry L. Johnston was charged with six felony counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance. Johnston is the mother of Levi Johnston, the Wasilla 18-year-old who received international attention in September when Gov. Sarah Palin and her husband, Todd, announced their teenage daughter was pregnant and he was the father. Bristol Palin, 18, is due on Saturday, according to a recent interview with the governor's father, Chuck Heath. Troopers served the warrant at Johnston's home at the "conclusion of an undercover narcotics investigation," said a statement issued Thursday by the troopers as part of the normal daily summary of activity around the state. Troopers charged Johnston with second-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance -- generally manufacturing or delivering drugs -- as well as fourth-degree misconduct involving controlled substances, or possession.
Bristol is due to give birth on Saturday. Hopefully MethMaw will be able to attend.
