Was NY Marriage Killed By The Alphabet?

An interesting theory from the New York Times.
Some have cited Mr. Addabbo, whose name falls second in the roll call when Senate votes are taken, as a major factor in setting the tone for the losing vote. He was widely known as a possible yes vote. And by his voting no, some supporters of the bill have said that he encouraged undecided senators to vote no as well. Mr. Addabbo disputed that. “I don’t think there was any domino effect at all,” he said. “Even before I said no, these votes were determined.”
Even the alphabet is anti-gay!

UPDATE: Addabbo explains his vote for the cameras.
