Daily Grumble

Yesterday I was watching a news story about a guy who was mistakenly arrested because he had the same name as a fugitive from a minor drug warrant. The arrested guy spent four days in jail waiting to be bailed out because he didn't have anybody's phone number memorized. That worried me because I too do not have a single phone number memorized. Not even my mother's. According to this bail bond site, cell phones are confiscated upon arrest and outgoing calls to request bail must usually be made collect. And you can't call cell phones collect. Today's lesson: memorize Mom's landline.
