McCain: Obama Wants To Sex Up Your Kids

This has got to be the lowest attack ad in history. Dan Savage deconstructs it thusly: "That scary black man running for president? He wants to fuck the shit out of your kids."

It is shameful and downright perverse for the McCain campaign to use a bill that was written to protect young children from sexual predators as a recycled and discredited political attack against a father of two young girls – a position that his friend Mitt Romney also holds. Last week, John McCain told Time magazine he couldn’t define what honor was. Now we know why.

Remember when a few months ago when we predicted here that things were going to reach unprecedented levels of scumbaginess? As bad as some of the previous rhetoric has been, I think we'll look back to this ad as the launching point.
