NC: Country Singer Banned After Anti-Gay Song At City Festival
Pam Spaulding reports that country singer Matt Boswell and his Hillbilly Blues Band have been banned from future performances by the city of Reidsville, North Carolina after a live broadcast from a city festival where he performed an altered version of a Merle Haggard song that included the anti-gay lyric, "And you can't get married, you stupid gays and queers, so why don't you go somewhere else?"
The most interesting thing about this little incident is that a small town in North Carolina did the right thing afterwards. That's got to give you some hope.
