Republican National Committee Launches Fundraising Site On "Coffee Salute"

From the just-launched SemperLatte.com: "Our Commander-in-Chief should take the time to properly salute our nation’s heroes in uniform. They do it for him. Unfortunately, his disregard is part of a larger pattern. If you want to send a message to this White House that you’ve had enough, fill out this form and get your free bumper sticker." ISRAEL: Gay Club Promoter Denounced For Evoking ISIS Beheadings In Party Ads

Via NBC News:
An Israeli gay party promoter has published posters featuring a stark parody of ISIS beheading videos. Drek, which puts together events in famously gay-friendly Tel Aviv, apologized for the use of the homoerotic humor drawing on the gruesome murders of James Foley, Steven Sotloff and David Haines, but also defended the posters. "Our way to express our contempt and criticism to things that take place in the reality in the past four years is through humor and satire," the event organizers said in a Facebook post. "We think our enemies victory will be when we live in fear and let them control our thoughts. We feel that humor takes the sting out of threatening and offensive issues. If our publications of our last party hurt the feeling of somebody, we apologize." Nevertheless, most commenting on the organization's Facebook page were supportive. "In my eyes the invitation is genius and smart. Satire is mostly a bit extreme and that is fine," Karam Dadu wrote.
More from Israel's Ynet News:
Though a number of people shrugged off the posters as poor taste, most were enraged: "Disgusting! Getting a laugh off of the murder of innocent victims," wrote one commentator; "very baaaaaaaaaaad," wrote another, while a third lamented it "poor satire". Posting the images online to Drek's Facebook page, the organizers wrote "as the new Islamic State gains traction in the Middle East, we at Drek have decided to give in to Sharia law and cheer the stubborn Daesh," using the Arab acronym for the group, and invoking a veiled play on words – "stubborn" in Hebrew can be written as "hard necked", a reference to the group's infamous executions. Amiri Kalman, one of the Drek's founders, said in response: "We are trying to react to current events. We have been doing it for a number of years. But we reject violence in any form and that includes the (execution) videos intended to scare the world."
The flag in the second image above is reportedly meant to represent the black flag of ISIS.

Tea Party To Celebrate Five Years Of Racism And Hilariously Misspelled Signs

The Tea Party movement is about to celebrate its five year anniversary. Via Breitbart:
Radio’s Mark Levin will keynote a five-year anniversary event for the Tea Party movement hosted by Tea Party Patriots in Washington, D.C., Breitbart News has learned exclusively. “The Tea Party, which consists of millions of hard working taxpayers, is to be celebrated not condemned,” Levin told Breitbart News. “The ruling class must be trounced and its media cheerleaders must be exposed if the republic is to survive. The Tea Party is our only hope. It's a great honor to be asked to speak to such outstanding and courageous patriots,” he added. Most observers point to CNBC’s Rick Santelli's famous rant on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in February 2009 as the birth of the Tea Party movement. It formed in response to President Barack Obama’s push for a government takeover of healthcare combined with Americans’ dissatisfaction with Washington-generated bailouts.

Today's Top Trending Topic On Twitter

Above is the most popular response to today's #1 trending topic on Twitter.  Another example: "It's never on a car parked in a business park or office complex between the hours of 9-5." And another: "I let the air out of their tires, because air was meant to be shared by everyone." Democrats are getting their shots in too: "Awkward; Repubs start a hashtag, don't know grammar. An Obama bumper sticker. Holla!"

Gay Patriot Falls For Limbaugh "Prank"

Gay Patriot blogger, former GOProud board member, and possible 2014 US Senate candidate Bruce Carroll caused a minor uproar in Teabagistan yesterday with the above tweet that repeated a story he'd heard on Rush Limbaugh's radio show.
“You want to hear something totally outrageous?” Limbaugh asked before revealing his big scoop about the popular movie-streaming service. He went on to explain that Netflix has decided to raise all users’ monthly charge in order to “pay for those who can’t afford it.” He predicted that people “are not going to put up with that.” After a break, Limbaugh declared, “Mission partially accomplished.” He admitted that “Netflix is not raising their prices for any reason. I made that up to see what kind of reaction that it would get because I’m trying to illustrate a point here.” What exactly that point was, was not immediately clear.
Limbaugh's alleged "point" probably had something to do with our commie, socialist, Kenyan president. That Carroll fell for it and went apeshit on Twitter is the only amusing part. Netflix stock closed slightly down yesterday, causing some to suggest filing a "prank" lawsuit against Limbaugh.

A Christian Lesson On Gay History

"Just remember about 100 years ago, you had three homosexuals in the world as far as anybody really knew. There was a Canadian named Robert Ross, an Englishman named Oscar Wilde, an American named Walt Whitman. They led the charge in the early 1900’s and wound up in and out of the prison system and in court and so forth for a period of time. And again, there was only about three that anybody knew of and it was hardly anything that was mentioned among the established world at that time, that is in Europe, Canada and America. But you did have those three men, as far as history bears out, Robert Ross, Oscar Wilde and Walt Whitman were well-known for some level of homosexual activity, although they could not call themselves homosexuals at that time.

"Well now, of course, it’s the most out of the closet and the encouragement to the homosexual lifestyle is everywhere and we have a problem that’s probably about 10,000 times if not 100,000 times worse than it was 100 years ago. I don’t know how far this one’s gonna go my friends. I’m not sure the world has ever gone to homosexual marriage. I think Nero tried it, it was very, very odd, very weird, very, very decadent for the Roman Empire. It’s about the worst the Roman Empire ever, ever got, under Nero. And of course the persecutions that came with Nero were intense for the Church of Christ in Rome at that time. Today, it might be a little different because you have a lot of quote-unquote apostate Christian churches that have adopted homosexuality and they will do their best to burn Christians at the stake or do what Nero did, I’m sure, in the years to come, because that’s sort of the history of homosexuals and what they have done ever since they were banging on the doors outside of Lot’s house." - Pastor Kevin Swanson, teaching Christian radio listeners about gay history.  (Via Right Wing Watch)

Fireman Canned Over Anti-Obama Stunt

A firefighter in Pompano Beach, Florida has been terminated after he placed toilet paper imprinted with the president's face in his station's restroom.
It was Clint Pierce's third instance of posting political paraphernalia on city property and a violation of a direct order to cease and desist from such behavior, according to city records. "It was clearly a case of insubordination," city spokeswoman Sandra King said Friday. "He had a similar situation of posting political messages on city property and he was given a free pass at that time and told to cease and desist and he did it again and really exacerbated the situation." Expressions of political views that could be considered offensive or divisive don't belong on municipal property, the city says.
Commenters on right-wing sites are denouncing the firing.  Toilet paper featuring political figures on all sides have long been available.

MICHIGAN: School Teacher Suspended For Playing Pro-Gay Music Video

A public middle school teacher in Michigan has been suspended for playing a popular pro-gay music video upon a request by a student.
"I asked him a few questions about the song. If it was violent, if there was any profanity, and he said no. And I said this sounds like a great song to go ahead and use for the class," said Susan Johnson. The song is called "Same Love" written in support of same sex marriage. Underground rapper Ben Maclemore tackles the dangers of hate and stereotypes by showing the struggle of a homosexual man from birth to death. As Johnson listened to the song, she said she thought to herself this was something her students could learn from. "This is one of the things in my school that we're trying to practice and we're trying to instill in our students is tolerance to diversity," she explained. However, another student in class didn't agree with the lyrics, went to the office and complained. Before the school day ended, Johnson claims the principal and assistant superintendent told her she was suspended indefinitely without pay. "I don't think that it was really even thought through," she said. "I was paralyzed. I really didn't understand why I was being suspended." Assistant Superintendent Melissa Baker didn't care to elaborate. "No one is going to have a comment for you. We don't go on camera here in South Lyon," she said.
The video now has almost 8 million views on YouTube. Here it is again, in case you missed it two months ago here on JMG.

Romney Tells Homeless Hurricane Victim: Go Home And Call For Assistance

Romney is a man of the people.
Romney and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) spent close to an hour meeting with first responders and local officials. Romney shook hands with National Guardsmen outside the U.S. Post Office and talked with a local resident, Jodie Chiarello, 42, who lost her home in Isaac's flooding. Chiarello said she told Romney, "I lost everything" and that the presidential contender advised her on how to get assistance. "He said that he was going to do the best that he could for us," she said. "He just told me to, um, there's assistance out there," Chiarello said of her conversation with Romney. "He said, go home and call 211." That's a public service number offered in many states.

Quote Of The Day - Victoria Jackson

"How many times do people get pregnant from rape? It's point zero zero one percent. It's a joke. I read lots of articles. I know people, because I'm 53. I've know a lot of people, and I've actually never known anyone who got pregnant from being raped. And guess what? If I got raped, I would have the baby. And if I didn't want to keep it because I had these [mocking tone] horrible nightmares, I would adopt it out. But I think that God can turn a bad thing into a good thing. And that, if I got raped and a beautiful baby who was innocent was born out of it, that would be a blessing." - Math expert Victoria Jackson, speaking at the RNC to Michelangelo Signorile. One Million Moms Against Skittles

Today's press release:
Dear Joe, We are not sure of Skittles' thought process behind their new ad, but if they are attempting to offend customers, they have succeeded. Skittles' newest "Walrus" commercial includes a teen girl making out with a walrus. The two are on a coach in an apartment kissing on the mouth when her shocked roommate walks in on them. Parents find this type of advertising inappropriate and unnecessary. Does Skittles' have our children's best interest in mind? Skittles candies are for all ages, but their target market is children. Skittles Marketing Team may have thought this was humorous, but not only is it disgusting, it is taking lightly the act of bestiality. Let Skittles know their new ad is irresponsible.

UKRAINE: Spongebob Is Gay, Ban Him

Ukraine's government is preparing to ban obviously gay Spongebob Squarepants and other dangerous cartoon characters.
The popular cartoon character SpongeBob Squarepants is homosexual, according to a study by the National Commission for the protection of morality in Ukraine, the Ukrainian newspaper Ukraínskaya Pravda reported on Thursday. The Commission has been studying some of the most popular animated series on Ukrainian television and is set to propose a countrywide ban on some of them, claiming they “present a real threat to children”. Series like The Simpsons, Family Guy, Pokemon, The Teletubbies and Futurama are “projects aimed at the destruction of the family, and the promotion of drugs and other vices.”
According to the author of the above-cited study, watching Spongebob causes five year-olds to make faces and repeat nonsensical phrases. Which has never happened before in the history of the world, obvs. (Tipped by JMG reader Kevin)
