Vatican Threatens To Cancel UK Papal Visit Over Mocking Government Memo

The Vatican is threatening to cancel the Pope's upcoming visit to Britain after the publication of an internal memo suggesting some fabulous activities for Palpatine during his visit.
The memo was sent out in March following a “brainstorm” session by four junior Foreign Office staff who make up the Papal Visit Team. The “official” memos suggests the Pope opening an abortion ward; spending the night in a council flat in Bradford; doing forward rolls with children to promote healthy living and performing a duet with the Queen (changing the British national anthem from God save the Queen to God save the world). The ideas doesn’t stop here. The clever gentlemen suggests the Pope should launch a new brand of condoms called “Benedict”, the memo also proposed that the Pope should “announce sacking of dodgy bishops”, sponsor a network of AIDS clinics, bless a gay marriage and conduct a training course for bishops on child abuse allegations.
The British government has reassigned those responsible for the memo and has issued an abject apology to the Vatican.

UPDATE: According to the Guardian UK, the Vatican has just confirmed that the Pope will visit after all.
The pope's visit to Britain will not be affected by the disclosure of a Foreign Office document mocking the Catholic Church, the Vatican said today. Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi had noted the Foreign Office apology and said the paper would have "absolutely" no impact on Benedict XVI's visit in September, an official confirmed.
