NOM & Liberty Counsel Join CPAC 2011 Boycott Threat Over GOProud's Presence
GOProud's presence at this year's CPAC conference ruffled a few feathers among the teabaggers, who as we saw yesterday largely regard GOProud as an "inauthentic" Tea Party group. Unswayed, GOProud has signed on to be a part of CPAC 2011. In response, today the Liberty Counsel and NOM signed on with a coalition of conservative groups who have announced their withdrawal from next year's conference if GOProud remains a part of it.
Below is an an excerpt from the "line in the sand" letter from the American Principles Project, the sponsors of the boycott.GOProud has denounced the backers of the boycott as a "pro-immigration amnesty" group.
