Help NYC's Ali Forney Center Win A $250,00 Grant From Chase Giving

Chase Community Giving is soliciting Facebook votes for worthy charities to be granted a $250,000 donation. Ali Forney Center founder Carl Siciliano writes us:
The Ali Forney Center took a huge step forward in our ability to protect homeless LGBT youth this week. We signed a lease for a big new space for our drop-in programs, and for the first time will be able to serve homeless LGBT youth 24 hours per day while they wait for shelter beds to open up. For years, the hardest part of working at the Ali Forney Center has been shutting down the drop-in programs at night, knowing that many kids will be sleeping on trains, in abandoned buildings, and on rooftops, frightened and alone. Being able to be there for them at night is a dream come true. We hope to open in December. The new space, and the additional staff to remain open overnight and on the weekends, are both very expensive, and we need all the help we can get. One very easy way to help is to vote for the Ali Forney Center through the Chase Community Giving competition. Charities that receive enough votes will be eligible to receive up to $250K.
Please click over and vote today, the contest ends on Wednesday.
