Rep. Ron Kind Backs Marriage
Rep. Ron Kind (D-WI) endorsed marriage equality today.
Kind, a La Crosse Democrat whose Third Congressional District includes Chippewa Falls and Dunn County, made the announcement this morning on his Facebook page, saying in part, “My 18-year marriage to Tawni has taught me that we’re both stronger because we love and support each other. I support marriage equality because if two people want to make a lifetime commitment to love and care for one another, then the government shouldn't stand in the way.”Kind added that he will now sign on as a supporter of the Respect For Marriage Act
RELATED: In the last week I've been able to line-out seven House Democrats from last week's listing of reps who have not yet publicly indicated their support. In several cases, that support was merely not easily available when the list was compiled.
