Headline Of The Day
Leesburg Today has the news:
This week, Al Nevarez, Delgaudio’s 2011 opponent for supervisor who is helping lead the effort, confirmed the group of community organizers formed under a group called Sterling Deserves Better had surpassed the 558 signatures—equal to 10 percent of the number voting in the 2011 election—needed for the group to make its case before a judge. But he said that a larger outreach plan was underway to generate more community awareness of the recall effort and Delgaudio’s actions as a supervisor. Delgaudio has served as the Sterling District supervisor since 1999.The paper notes that there has never been a successful recall effort in Virginia. This would be a fantastic start.
