New Poll: Weiner Tumbles To Fourth Place
According to Quinnipiac Poll issued yesterday, Bill de Blasio is benefiting from Anthony Weiner's tumble to fourth place in the New York City mayoral race.
Public Advocate Bill de Blasio has surprisingly shot up to second place in the Democratic primary for mayor, as scandal-scarred candidate Anthony Weiner's numbers continued to tumble in the wake of his latest sexting scandal, according to a new poll from Quinnipiac University. The poll, taken after Mr. Weiner's latest scandal hit the front pages, has Council Speaker Christine Quinn in first place with 27%, followed by Mr. de Blasio with 21%, former Comptroller Bill Thompson with 20%, Mr. Weiner with 16%, and Comptroller John Liu with just 6%. Quinnipiac also asked whom voters would support if Mr. Weiner drops out, and in that case Ms. Quinn gets 30%, Messrs. Thompson and de Blasio 25% each.RELATED: Back in May a large group of gay celebrities held a fundraiser for de Blasio.
