Mat Staver To Get "Ex-Gay" Award
"We are thrilled to honor Dean Staver at the First Annual Ex-Gay Pride Celebration. He has been a champion in defending the freedoms of clients who pursue counseling to overcome unwanted same-sex attractions (SSA) and has tirelessly advocated for their God-given right of self-determination and Constitutional rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I can’t think of a better person to receive this award!" - Christopher Doyle, announcing that Liberty Counsel head Mat Staver (pictured) will get the "2013 Ex-Gay Pride Freedom Award."
RELATED: Staver's award will come during a dinner and reception to celebrate September as "Ex-Gay Awareness Month," which is the new name for "Ex-Gay Pride Month," which was supposed to be in July until the entire thing fell apart because of "harassment and threats." (Yeeeeah.)
