Brian Brown Praises "Wise" Wisconsin Judge For Staying Gay Marriage Ruling

"Dear Joe, I don't know if you heard the news that came out on Friday of last week, but a Federal judge in the state of Wisconsin has wisely stayed her ruling overturning the state's constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman. Her reasoning in staying the decision cited the Supreme Court issuing a stay in a similar case earlier this year, in Utah. Now Wisconsin joins Utah and many other states awaiting their day in court to defend their laws supporting marriage. These cases will work their way through the system and eventually reach the Supreme Court — probably in the next 12 months. The Court will be faced with a pivotal decision ... they will decide whether to stand up for states' rights to regulate and define marriage... or whether to legislate from the bench, usurping the power of the people to decide these serious and controversial issues for themselves. Joe, this is precisely why we're marching for marriage this week." - Hate group leader Brian Brown, in a press release about the same judge who seven days ago he denounced for her "undemocratic attack" which "tramples on the will of the people."
