CHICAGO: The AIDS Foundation of Chicago, through its Global Grants Initiative, will provide up to 10 partial-support scholarships for individuals to attend the XVII International AIDS Conference in Mexico City, Mexico, August 3-8, 2008. Download the application here. The deadline for nominations is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2008.

NYC:
Will Clark's Porno Bingo tonight is a benefit for SWISH, Straight Women In Support of Homos. "The fun starts at a special time - 7pm with drink specials (the debut of the SWISHtini!), catering courtesy Pete Adrian of The Grey Dog’s Coffee, special prizes, massages, and Broadway cabaret performance by Jamie Lloyd, Jason Bowman, and Chris Adaseiwicz." $10 suggested donation at the door goes to SWISH.

LA:
The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center is looking for a few good women! The Center is currently seeking nominations for its annual Lesbians and bisexual women Active in Community Empowerment (L.A.C.E.) Awards, given each year to local lesbians and bisexual women who’ve made significant contributions to the LGBT community through their professional or volunteer work, or both. NYC: "Shelter," an exhibition following LGBTQ youth living in a homeless shelter, is on display at Exit Art in New York City. Photographer Lucky Michaels chronicles the lives of the inhabitants of the shelter, Sylvia's Place, which is named after gay rights activist Sylvia Rivera. Michaels serves as the subjects' counselor, documenting them in moments of rest, play, and confrontation. Exit Art is located at 475 10th Ave. at the corner of West 36th Street.
