New York's Top Court Hears Appeal Of Marriage Recognition
Today the New York Court of Appeals began hearing a case by the anti-gay Alliance Defense Fund, who were rejected by lower courts in their bid to overturn New York state's recognition of same-sex marriages from other jurisdictions. New York state law stipulates the recognition of marriages that are legal elsewhere unless such a union is "abhorrent to state policy." Guess that the ADF is arguing?
