The Resurrection Of Crist
Florida Gov. Charlie "Closet Case" Crist will announce tomorrow that he is leaving the GOP to run for the U.S. Senate as an independent. Teabaggers and other conservatives have flocked to support Crist's GOP primary opponent Marco Rubio, despite Crist's history of opposing gay rights and health care reform. Crist has long been ridiculed on wingnut blogs for his famous hugging moment with President Obama. A poll released last week shows Crist being trounced by Rubio in a GOP primary, but edging him slightly in the general election were he to run as an independent. Democratic candidate Rep. Kendrick Meek loses in all permutations of the survey.
