Ann’s comments came the day after Romney hung out with Sen. Kelly Ayotte in New Hampshire. Other prospective women on the list would have to include Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), Gov. Susana Martinez (R-NM), Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC), and even former Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK). There is little doubt that the Romney campaign wants to reach out to women; Ann is far more popular with women than Mitt. He could certainly do worse than to choose any of the women on the short list above.
