Another VP Gambit: Sarah Palin PAC Issues "Documentary" On Her Fabulosity

Breitbart raves:
The roar of the Mama Grizzly seems to be intensifying. Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s political action committee, SarahPAC, has released a powerful documentary focusing on Palin’s unique and incredible impact on our country. The just over twenty-minute video, “Building America’s Future,” captures Palin’s rise to national prominence, highlights her impressive achievements in the endorsement game, showcases her populist appeal to Americans, and maps out some strategies for the future. The documentary demonstrates that Palin has teamed with grassroots citizens to make a difference. The partnership between Palin and patriots packs a red, white, and blue punch.
Here's the film, if you can bear it.

Palin Angles For Spot On Trump Ticket

"What a hoot to watch pundits clutching their pearls and whimpering for smelling salts aghast over the latest 'shocking' thing Donald Trump said, while The Donald ignores them and continues to soar. Silly kingmakers just don’t know what to make of this. Well, we do! The elites are shocked by Trump’s dominance, but everyday Americans aren’t. Everywhere I’ve gone this summer, including motorsport events in Detroit full of fed up Joe Six-Pack Americans, the folks I meet commiserate about wussified slates of politicians, but then unsolicited, they whisper their appreciation for Trump because he has the guts to say it like it is." - Sarah Palin, in the opening of a Breitbart "exclusive" column. She's clearly taking the Trump/Palin 2016 calls seriously.

Trump Courts Palin Supporters

Via the New York Times:
Donald J. Trump appears to be making a serious play for the “Mama Grizzly” vote. This week the Republican presidential candidate flattered Sarah Palin — who gave herself the bear of a nickname — calling her a “strong” and “special” person and proclaiming that he would love to have her in his cabinet if he won the White House. On Thursday, Mr. Trump showed another sign of respect for Ms. Palin, hiring Michael Glassner to be his campaign’s national political director. Mr. Glassner was chief of staff for Ms. Palin’s political action committee and worked closely with her when she ran for vice president alongside Senator John McCain in 2008. “Mr. Glassner will certainly be an asset to us as we further cement our dominance in the 2016 G.O.P. field,” Mr. Trump said in a statement.
The above-linked reports notes that Palin's fans are flooding her Facebook page, which has "become a platform for pushing a Trump/Palin ticket."

Reality Show Star Slams Iran Deal

"Don’t say it’s unbelievable. Of course it’s believable. This is the world we live in today under American leadership that would surrender Israel’s security and our own. Don’t say it’s unbelievable. When Barack Obama warned voters he would “fundamentally transform America” and they voted for him anyway – twice – what was once the most powerful office in the world crumbled under perverted political ambition. I’ve always said, 'We can survive this President, but can we survive the people who voted for him a SECOND time?'  But after today, do you believe there is assurance we will survive this President? His wink and a nod to an evil regime hell-bent on destroying us just made his 'fundamental transformation' job a whole lot easier. We must build up the foundation again; rebuild the wall protecting our – and Israel’s – sovereignty. There are 554 days until we do that, by fundamentally restoring America. In the meantime, Congress, stop the madness. Do your job. Veto Obama’s act of capitulation. Take the white flag of surrender out of this President’s hand." - Foreign policy expert, nuclear physicist, and failed reality show cast member Sarah Palin, writing for Breitbart.

Sarah Palin Quits Her Pay Channel

Via Wonkette:
This July 4th, Sarah Palin celebrated America by announcing that she is quitting the Internet-teevee-channel grift, because quitting is what Sarah Palin does best. In video and text announcements on the Sarah Palin Channel, Governor Quitterface declared that as of August 1, anyone can consume premium, previously paywalled Palin content, because Sarah Palin is getting rid of her paywall for freedom, and not because the Sarah Palin Channel was an economic failure, heavens no. Palin’s video announcement tries to strike an upbeat tone, the way your folks did when they first told you that Fluffy would be living at a farm upstate, where he would have all sorts of room to run and chase chickens, doesn’t that sound fun for Fluffy

Bristol Palin: I'm Pregnant Again

Abstinence scold Bristol Palin is pregnant again.
Bristol Palin says she's pregnant for a second time. The daughter of 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin announced the pregnancy on her blog Thursday. Her representative, David Martin, and Palin family lawyer John Tiemessen confirmed the blog post. The 24-year-old wrote that she knows this is a "huge disappointment" for her family, close friends and fans. She's asking people to respect her privacy, and that of her son Tripp, saying, "I do not want any lectures, and I do not want any sympathy. At the end of the day there's nothing I can't do with God by my side, and I know I am fully capable of handling anything that is put in front of me with dignity and grace."
She doesn't want any lectures? Oh, my sides.

Fox News Dumps Sarah Palin

Politico reports:
Fox News will not renew its contract with Sarah Palin, whose bombastic appearances have been a cable staple since the former Alaska governor’s failed run on John McCain’s ticket in the 2008 presidential election cycle. When asked for comment, a Fox News spokesperson confirmed the network had amicably parted ways with the governor on June 1. Palin, 51, is expected to make occasional guest appearances on Fox and Fox Business, and will appear on other networks and cables. She has a show on the Sportsman Channel, does a lot of speeches, and will announce a new publishing project soon. When Palin was at her zenith, she made frequent appearances, and Fox installed a camera at her house. But executives consider her less relevant now, and her appearances were sometimes hampered by the vast time difference with Alaska. She remains a huge conservative force on Facebook, with 4.5 million fans – twice that of Rand Paul, who has the biggest reach in the 2016 field. She also has 1.15 million Twitter followers.

Sarah Palin Defends The Duggars: Media Is "Spitting On The Graves" Of Those Who Died For Freedom Of Speech

"The shocking, unethical leak of a private, legally protected counseling document by a politically motivated law enforcement official. Media - time to go after her or him for illegalities and for destroying the public's trust in law enforcement. The media's hell-bent mission to go after the entire Duggar family for one member’s wrongdoing, while giving a total pass to perverted actions of someone like Lena Dunham - or any other leftwinger celeb caught doing awful things. Remember reports of the pedophile billionaire our former democrat president has been friends with and hung out with on the pedophiles 'orgy island' full of underage girls? Such obvious double standards applied to equally relevant stories underestimates the wisdom of the public, discredit the press, and spits on the graves of every American who fought and died for the press's freedom. I hate for anyone to go through this game liberals are allowed to play, relentlessly attacking on an uneven playing field until a conservative's career, relationships, and reputation are destroyed." - Sarah Palin, posting this afternoon on her Facebook page.

Sarah Palin Vs Martin O'Malley

"Yet another anti-freedom politician jumps in the race today for POTUS. As cool as he is with his rock 'n roll persona, this typical liberal's erroneous grasp of our Bill of Rights merely continues the strange and disastrous agenda of Barack Obama. Good to know he doesn't have much chance of winning. The democrats have greased the skids for their chosen one, despite the media games that play the public with various 'competing' campaigns used for gamey distractions. With today's more-of-the-same distract-sphere – with the politician sounding exactly like all the others – don't you wonder if there are ANY good old fashioned Blue Dog democrats who can represent the left’s party in the 2016 race? I feel kind of bad for democrats who are as embarrassed about their party leaving them as some of us Republicans are about our own party when we hear the GOP talk a good game but dishonorably capitulate when given the majority power to stop Obama's nonsense." - Sarah Palin, writing on her Facebook page.

Sarah Palin: Bristol's Wedding Is Off

"Bristol and Dakota couldn’t be more thankful for the love and support of family and friends over the past months while preparing for their wedding. They have informed loved ones that unfortunately the announced celebration planned for May 23 will not be held. Many friends and family still look forward to getting together that day in Kentucky anyway – and the Palins and Meyers are happily looking forward to still being at 'the old Kentucky home' on May 23 to celebrate life, in general!" - Sarah Palin, posting this afternoon to her Facebook page.

Via Radar:
On Friday, RadarOnline uncovered a dark secret the 24-year-old’s fiancé had been hiding – a wife! According to a marriage certificate obtained by Radar, Dakota Meyer was married to Michigan-based Cassandra Wain in 2008. While his lawyer has since confirmed a divorce — reportedly finalized in 2010 — the logistics of Meyer’s first marriage remain mysteriously unclear. In a long post on Facebook, Wain’s sister Raelyn Marie criticized Meyer for hiding his past from the Palins and involving Wain unnecessarily. Less than a day later, however, Raelyn and Cassandra both deleted their Facebook profiles. As Radar previously reported, Bristol and Dakota were set to tie the knot this very week. Interestingly, Bristol has traveled back to Alaska while Dakota remains in Kentucky. According to recent reports, Bristol has even been spotted without her (fairly large) engagement ring.

Bristol Palin: I'm Engaged

"Last night, Sgt Dakota Meyer proposed and I said yes! Dakota came to Alaska to film Amazing America with my mom last year. He met Tripp during that time, and I’ve seen him in a few places where our paths have crossed since. He’s visited us in Alaska, and I’ve visited his wonderful family in Kentucky. He’s wonderful with Tripp and I’m so proud to be marrying him. He’s so romantic! He asked me to marry him at a Rascal Flatts concert. The lead singer, Gary LeVox, dedicated 'Bless the Broken Road' to us, and then Dakota got down on one knee and proposed! It’s amazing to see what happens when you place everything in life in God’s hands. He really is good and His plans are so much greater than our own." - Bristol Palin, writing for her blog. CBS reports that Meyer is a Medal of Honor winner. (Tipped by JMG reader BK)

Sarah Palin To Hecklers: Get A Job

Sarah Palin dealt with a couple of hecklers on the way into last night's 40th anniversary edition of Saturday Night Live, where she appeared in a skit with Jerry Seinfeld to jokingly plug a Palin/Trump 2016 ticket. Palin was wearing the same mini-dress worn by her daughter Bristol at the 2011 White House Press Correspondents Dinner.

Tony Perkins Joins CPAC 2015 Roster

Also on board for this year's CPAC are Sarah Palin, Jeb Bush, John Bolton, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, Rick Santorum, Ben Carson, Sean Hannity, Scott Walker, Rand Paul, Rick Perry, and Laura Ingraham. One of this year's $250,000 platinum-level sponsors is the janitorial supplies company Uline. Which seems about right.

Sarah Palin To Headline CPAC 2015

Sarah Palin yesterday confirmed her headlining appearance at CPAC 2015 despite not-quiet grumbling from the far right after her bizarre, rambling speech at last month's GOP 2016 Clown Car Revue in Iowa. Also on board for this year's CPAC are Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, Rick Santorum, Ben Carson, Sean Hannity, Scott Walker, Rand Paul, Rick Perry, Laura Ingraham, and Brent Bozell, who infamously called President Obama a "skinny ghetto crackhead" during an appearance on Fox News. CPAC launched in 1973. Ronald Reagan delivered 12 speeches at CPAC, including after he left the White House.

Palin Calls For Constitutional Convention

"Tired of Government Gone Wild? Here's What We Can Do About It! Our Founders put a special sort of 'emergency cord' right into Article V of our Constitution as a last resort to rein in our wayward federal government drunk on its own power. That article gives states the power to call a convention for the purpose of proposing amendments to the Constitution.

"Three states have already successfully passed legislation calling for a Convention of the States, and right now it’s Virginia’s turn. We need every patriot to step up and remind lawmakers in the Old Dominion why we support the Convention of States.

"By calling a Convention of the States, average citizens can stop the federal spending spree, power grabs, and other abuses by proposing amendments to rein in the federal government. After the states draft, debate, and vote upon these proposed amendments, they will then be sent to all 50 states for ratification, and three-quarters of the states must agree for any of the proposed amendments to be ratified.

"The beauty of this process is that neither the President nor Congress has the authority to stop it. It is truly in the hands of We the People. This idea is really the last recourse of the citizens to rein in DC and restore our country to a Constitutionally limited federal government." - Sarah Palin, in a Facebook post that has been liked over 100K times. I'm sure you can imagine the nature of the first ten or so new amendments that would be proposed.

RELATED: The 2015 push for a constitutional convention is the work of a group calling themselves Citizens For Self-Governance, a Texas-based outfit headed by the founder of Tea Party Patriots. The top article of their site today (SHOCKER) is about religious liberty. Perhaps obviously, the first and so far only Constitutional Convention took place in 1787.
