Nate Silver For The Win

Stats god Nate Silver interviewed radio host John Ziegler, the guy behind How Obama Got Elected, a cry-baby site that selectively asked some Obama supporters a bunch of misleading and unfactual questions, therefore proving that all Democrats are dum-dums. Let's just say that the interview doesn't go too well and ends with "Fuck you." Click. Dial tone. Here's the video that Ziegler posted.

If you haven't already nominated Silver's FiveThirtyEight for 2008's Best Blog or Best New Blog (or both), I suggest you do so. His was the go-to site for clear analysis of election polling data and his final call on the election was insanely on-the-mark.

RELATED: Nominations for Best LGBT Blog also continue until Friday.

2008 Weblog Awards Begin

Pam Spaulding notes that nominations have begun for the 2008 Weblog Awards. Last year JMG somehow managed to squeak past Pam after her well deserved win in 2006. Lots of categories this year including Best Blog, Best LGBT Blog, Best Individual Blogger, Best Online Community, and Best Liberal Blog. I'm nominating all of y'all for Best Community. It's just been an amazing year for blogging, certainly this is the first time in history that blogs have totally shaped the election process.
