VATICAN: Topless Femen Trio Arrested After Simulating Anal Sex With Crucifixes

Three topless Femen demonstrators have been dragged away from St. Peter's Square after simulating anal sex with crucifixes in a protest against the Pope outside the Vatican. The women crouched on all fours and re-enacted sex with crosses while shouting anti-papal remarks including "a world without religion, a parliament without a pope" and "god is not a magician, pope is not a politician". It is thought the women, who had "the pope is not a politician" daubed across their breasts, were protesting against Pope Francis' planned visit to the European Parliament in Strasbourg on November 25.

Based in Ukraine, the Femen have previously demonstrated in support of LGBT rights, prompting an all-male anti-gay French group, the Hommen, to spring up in response.

FRANCE: Thousands Of Anti-Gay Right Wingers Protest President Hollande

Torrential rains forced France's famed anti-gay Hommen into a totally not homoerotic group huddle during yesterday's protest against President Francois Hollande. As is typical for France's neo-Nazi supported anti-gay movement, things got violent.

Several thousand people marched through Paris on Sunday in a "Day of Anger" against embattled President Francois Hollande which ended in clashes between police and protesters. Security forces used tear gas to disperse several hundred youths who lobbed police with bottles, fireworks, iron bars and dustbins. Police on Monday said at least 250 people had been arrested after the clashes, during which 12 officers were injured. Interior Minister Manuel Valls condemned the violence "by individuals, varied groups from the extreme and ultra-right, whose only goal is to create unrest". The march organised by a motley group of some 50 small and mainly right-wing organisations, however failed to attract bigger anti-Hollande movements. Organisers claimed a turnout of some 120,000 people, however police estimated there were 17,000 people at the protest, held under pouring rain. The demonstrators railed against a slew of policies under Hollande - the most unpopular French president of modern times - such as last year's law allowing gay marriage.

The Hommen: Young buff male anti-gay extremists who protest France's gay marriage law by staging homoerotic half-nude protests. The Femen: Young buff female Ukrainian activists who denounce the oppression of women and gays by staging topless protests. And finally they meet when the Hommen show up outside the Femen's Paris office to chant slogans and throw brassieres at the windows. Note that two of the Femen taunted the Hommen boys back by, you guessed it, hanging out of the windows topless. (Regarding the photo, I'm told that the Hommen are doing some kind of Christian fascist salute.)

SWEDEN: Topless FEMEN Activists Storm Russia's Embassy In Stockholm

Two of Ukraine's famed FEMEN topless activists climbed a fence yesterday and rushed into Russia's embassy in Stockholm in a protest over LGBT rights.

The two women, linked to the Ukrainian feminist group Femen, waved a rainbow flag at the embassy's grounds and carried a sign saying "homosexual propaganda on Russian ground." They were supported by two other activists outside the embassy, who shouted "Gay Rights are Human Rights." The activities coincide with Stockholm Pride festival, which is being held this week and which has put special focus on gay rights in Russia. Earlier this week, Sweden's Foreign Minister Carl Bildt also reacted to the deteriorating situation for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people in Russia. "Hate-mongering against LGBT persons on the rise in Russia after recent law," he wrote on Twitter. "Repulsive. Inhuman."

Also protesting outside the embassy was a crowd of more than two hundred Swedes.

FEMEN Mock Notre Dame Suicide

Yesterday a member of the Ukraine-based group FEMEN went topless at the altar of Notre Dame Cathedral and posed with a toy gun pointed at her mouth. The demonstration mocked the Tuesday suicide of anti-gay activist Dominque Venner at the same location. The message on the woman's chest reads: "May fascist rest in hell."

Topless Protesters & LGBT Activists Accost Vladimir Putin Who Then Denies Russian Oppression Of Gays

Topless protesters from the Ukrainian group FEMEN accosted Russian President Vladimir Putin today at a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Three members of the women's rights group Femen, which has protested against Russia's detention of the feminist punk band Pussy Riot around Europe, disrupted his visit to a trade fair in the German city of Hanover. They stripped to the waist and shouted slogans calling Putin a "dictator" before being bundled away by security men. "Regarding this performance, I liked it," grinned Putin at a joint news conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. "I did not catch what they were shouting, I did not even see if they were blondes, brunettes or chestnut-haired.

Later today at a meeting in Amsterdam over 1000 gay activists demonstrated against Putin's presence.

Many houses and bridges in the historic canal district of Amsterdam were draped with banners and the rainbow flag of the gay pride movement, protesting about what human rights organizations say is institutional repression of gays in Russia. "Putin go homo," read one, echoing the message "Putin go home" on the front page of Friday's NRC Next daily newspaper. "I'm protesting against the anti-gay law in Russia because it's unreal. You can't tell people to go back into the closet," said one protester.

Putin reacted to the gay demonstrators with an outrageous lie, telling the press, "In the Russian Federation - so that it is clear to everybody - there is no infringement on the rights of sexual minorities. These people, like everyone else, enjoy all the same rights and freedoms as everyone else."
