NOM Unveils 2015 Hate March Speakers

Not exactly the A-list, is it? In fact, there's only one elected official on the roster and that's Democratic New York state Sen. Ruben Diaz. Also curiously missing from the list is San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone, who spoke at last year's hate march and is currently fighting an internal Catholic revolt back at home.

NOM's Hate March: A Cavalcade Of Crackpottery And One Catholic Drunk

NOM today published the above list of speakers scheduled for their hate march on the Supreme Court.  Hopefully there'll be an open bar for busted drunk driver Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone and an emergency Botox station for Concernstipated Women head Penny Nance.  And we can only presume that New York state Sen. Ruben Diaz will bring along the same speaker who told attendees at the last NOM hate march that homosexuals are "worthy of death."  As for "Bishop" Harry Jackson, let's just hope he doesn't curse the Washington Blade into bankruptcy, as he claims to have done with other "Satanic gay publications."  DC police should also keep an eye on Jim Garlow, who has called on pastors to emulate to the Founding Fathers and "pick up a musket" against evil homosexuals.

Quote Of The Day - Jim Garlow

"I will vote for Romney but IF...IF this quote from Romney is accurate, it demonstrates blunders that would be labeled the 'spirit of stupid'....and millions of good family honoring people will stay home on election day (Obama's dream) - and America (as we have known her for 200+) will come to an end." - Anti-gay activist Pastor Jim Garlow, in a Facebook comment left on the Politico article in which Romney refuses to take sides in the national chicken flap. Also furious are Bryan Fischer and Porno Pete.

RELATED: Garlow has said he is ready to die to prevent gay people from marrying, that gay marriage will destroy all churches, that Satan is a gay activist, and that Proposition 8 passed because he and his congregation fasted during the election.

Satan Is The Best Gay Activist EVER

"Everybody on both sides of this issue full well knows the implications, that these are two locomotives coming at each other and those two locomotives cannot exist on the same track on the same time, and one is the radical homosexual agenda and the other one is religious liberty. They cannot be in the same country at the same time. People at the upper levels on both sides full well know that, they are fully, clearly aware that religious liberties, the capacity to worship God as we do, will be shut down if the radical gay homosexual agenda actually succeeds. If I were Satan, this is key, if I were Satan, I would want to destroy the image of God on the planet. How do you do that? You’ve got to destroy the institution of marriage. If I were Satan I would want to destroy marriage on earth with divorce, I would want to destroy it with redefinition." - Three-time Hairpiece Olympics gold medalist Pastor Jim Garlow, once again declaring that Satan is orchestrating the gay marriage movement. (Via Right Wing Watch)

PREVIOUSLY ON JMG: Pastor Jim Garlow calls for an armed uprising against the nation's gay people. Pastor Jim Garlow claims that Prop 8 passed because he personally fasted and prayed for it. Pastor Jim Garlow claims that Christians who hate homosexuals will be rewarded with an eternal celestial orgy when they reach heaven.

Marriage Sanctity Defender Jim Garlow Says God Has Forgiven Slimy Swingrich

Pastor Jim "Bad Weave" Garlow says that Satan is behind gay marriage. He also says that God passed Prop 8 because he personally fasted during the election and that Americans should pick up a gun and "rise up" against homosexuals. Garlow is the co-author of the Manhattan Declaration, which calls on citizens to defy any law protecting LGBT people from violence and discrimination. But GOD has told him that Slimy Swingrich is the nation's savior.

Quote Of The Day - Jim Garlow

“Destroying the definition of marriage is not merely 'left.' It is wrong. It is sin. Stealing funds from future generations and spending it so that they will be closer to slavery than freedom is not merely 'left.' It is wrong. It is sin. Although Mr. Gingrich is not running for ‘Theologian-in-Chief’ but ‘Commander-in-Chief,’ he grasps these issues. He understands the moral component." - Pastor Jim Garlow, endorsing Newt Gingrich.

NEW YORK: Senator Ruben Diaz To Receive First Annual Ruben Diaz Courage Award

Anti-gay Pastor Jim Garlow has created the Ruben Diaz Courage Award. And the first annual recipient of the award is, ta-DAH, Senator Reverend Ruben Douchebag himself!
Ruben serves as pastor of, the Christian Community Neighborhood Church in New York City, in the Bronx. But there is more. He is a New York State Senator. But there is even more. Prior to being a Senator, he served on the New York City Council, winning the election 79% to 22%, the only ordained minister serving on the council. But there is yet even more. In liberal New York City, he is 100% pro-life, one of very few – if not the only – Democrat State Senator to hold to the biblical position. And – as you would expect – yes, there is even more. Pastor Diaz has fought hard for traditional, natural marriage, the only Democrat to stand for one man-one woman marriage in bitterly fought legislative battles year after year. But Pastor Diaz stood – like a rock. And he has paid dearly.
And by "paid dearly," Garlow means that people on the internet have said some just awful things about Diaz.

Pastor Jim Garlow: This Is What Obama Should Have Said At His SOTU

"I have tragically hastened to destroy the No. 1 preserver of all that is good in society – the family, consisting of a mother and a father. In my need to be politically correct, and my desire to garner more votes from the nuclear family attackers, I was drawn in to their errors and sins of redefining the family. I am ashamed of this. I am sorry. I ask for forgiveness.

"I have helped to demoralize the military that defends us. I ran roughshod over 59% of the US Marines when I forced my social experimentation upon them, coercing them to accept lifestyles as normative, with no thought of troop readiness and cohesion. I was drawn in to the errors, lies and sins of political correctness, at the expense of truth. I am ashamed of this. I am sorry. I ask for forgiveness." - Manhattan Declaration co-author Pastor Jim Garlow, from his reimagining of the State Of The Union Address, were the president not a Marxist Kenyan friend-to-sodomites.

RELATED: In the past Garlow has announced that Satan loves gay marriage, that God passed Prop 8 because he fasted, and that the nation's Christians should pick up a musket and rise against homosexuals.

Quote Of The Day - Rick Tyler

"It’s time to think out of the box, and we can succeed. Just this past year, we notched a huge victory in Iowa against the three judges that superseded the will of the people by imposing their own agenda upon the Constitution. Christians have a warrior in Bob Vander Plaats, who led the fight that resulted in sending three judges home after they grossly overreached their constitutional role in redefining marriage. We must show other judges who have forgotten the constitutional constraints that there are consequences for their actions. Make your voice heard. Watch your email for our ReAL Action Alert. We’re going to tell the Ninth Circuit that their services are no longer required." -Rick Tyler, chairman of Newt Gingrich's Renewing American Leadership, saying his group will somehow eliminate the entire Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

The Christianist blogosphere is roiling with anger this week over the Ninth Circuit Court's ruling that San Diego's Mt. Soledad Cross violates the separation of church and state. The status of the cross has been the subject of lawsuits for decades. In 2007, the California Supreme Court ruled that it was constitutional for the city to transfer the land under the cross to the federal government. This week the Ninth Circuit overturned that decision.

CORRECTION: In the first version of this post, I wrongly attributed the above quote to Pastor Jim Garlow of Skyline Wesleyan Church in San Diego, who is part of Gingrich's group. In fact, Garlow will be leading the planned protest against the Ninth Circuit Court's decision. My apologies.

Jim Garlow: Satan Loves Gay Marriage

Three-time Hairpiece Olympics gold medalist Pastor Jim Garlow tells his followers that Satan himself is behind the national marriage equality movement. Oh, and all that fucking done on Earth is nothing like the Celestial Orgy you'll have with Jeebus.
Think of the best marriage you know of on Earth and God is so gracious he says I want you to have an appetizer for the main course so I'm going to establish male and female coming together on Earth and the ecstasy and joy that you experience spiritually, physically, and emotionally, that oneness, that's a depiction of what it's going to be like because you can't grasp because it's a mystery what it's like when Jesus and the church come together. [snip]

People say why is there not sexual expression in Heaven? There's the delight and joy equivalency of that as we delight in, literally, the presence of God. It will be an amazing, absolutely amazing moment. That is why we use marital bed language to talk about this, we talk about the consummation of history, the climax of history. Those are languages associated with the marital bed that is now associated with history. So if I were Satan, if I were the Devil, I'd want to destroy the imagery of male and female coming together with light and joy, covenantal marriage on Earth, so people would not grasp what it might be like at the End Time, what it will be like when Jesus and the church come together.

PhoboQuotable - Pastor Jim Garlow

"When these pastors would complete their sermons, they would take off their black robes -- they preached in vestments at those times - and underneath that would be the attire of military. They would pick up a musket and ask: 'Who's going to go fight with me?' And so the revolutionary armies during that time came from pastors leading the churches. It's known as the Blacked-Robed Regiment. And we need a black-robed regiment today. We need pastors who are willing to stand up. And we need persons who are in the pews to stand up with them -- a black-robed regiment of laypersons -- who's going to take a like stand." - Manhattan Declaration co-author Pastor Jim Garlow, calling on the nation's Christians to rise up against homosexuals and other equality-minded people.

For those unaware, the Manhattan Declaration calls on Americans to disobey all LGBT rights laws. Garlow and his followers just completed a 40-day period of fasting and prayers that Jeebus will see fit to smite the gay rights movement.

Pastor Jim Garlow: God Decided To Pass Prop 8 Because Christians Fasted

Right Wing Watch:
[Garlow] explains how he knew that fasting and prayer were going to be the key to passing Prop 8 in California, so that is why he personally convinced Lou Engle and The Call to move to the state for six months to focus on it. He explains that for the 40 days leading up to the election, Engle's acolytes fasted and prayed for passage of Prop 8, culminating in The Call rally in San Diego on November 1 where, between 4:20-4:50 they felt that "something had snapped in the Heavenlies" and "we knew God had moved."
God passed Prop 8, but he also passed Washington state's Referendum 71 and marriage in the nation's capital. He's so wishy-washy!

California: Christianists Call For Statewide Fast Against Marriage Equality

This is the madness that we're up against. Pastors across California and the nation have called upon hundreds of congregations to pray and forego solid food until Proposition 8 is passed.
Hundreds of pastors have called on their congregations to fast and pray for passage of a ballot measure in November that would put an end to gay marriage in California.

The collective act of piety, starting Wednesday and culminating three days before the election in a revival for as many as 100,000 people at the San Diego Chargers' stadium, comes as church leaders across California put people, money and powerful words behind Proposition 8.

Some pastors around the state and nation are encouraging their flocks to forgo solid food for up to 40 days in the biblical tradition.

Jim Garlow, the pastor of the evangelical Skyline Church in San Diego County, said he expects up to 100 young adults to spend five-plus weeks on his campus, subsisting on soup, juice and the promise of societal salvation.

"This is not political to us. We see it as very spiritual," said Garlow, a leader of an interfaith coalition that has held monthly teleconferences, shared sermons and solicited donations for the ballot measure.
You can't make it up, people. The scourge of religion is relentless and unending.

Fasting In The Name Of Hate

San Diego-based Pastor Jim Garlow will make a 40-day fast leading up to election day in order to rally evangelical attention to the anti-gay marriage ballot measure.
On Wednesday, Garlow took a first step toward organizing clergy in the state, convening a conference call in which more than 1,000 ministers, most from evangelical congregations, discussed tactics for passing a fall ballot initiative that would amend California's Constitution to ban gay marriage.

The strategy session, which included input from lawyers and political consultants, was the opening of what conservative religious leaders hope will become a massive Christian outpouring of support for the proposed amendment.

The effort will include a 40-day fasting period leading up to election day, along with 100 days of prayer. On the weekend before the election, Garlow told the ministers, the goal would be to fill Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego and other amphitheaters with people praying for a ban on gay marriage.

Opponents of the amendment were quick to downplay the significance of Wednesday's call to arms. "There are certainly thousands of people of faith who are supportive of the freedom to marry," said Kerry Chaplin, the organizing director for California Faith for Equality, a coalition of more than 2,000 faith leaders and congregations supporting same-sex marriage.

Although some religious leaders, particularly Catholics and Mormons, were involved in passing Proposition 22, the 2000 initiative that defined marriage as being between a man and a woman and that was overturned by the state Supreme Court in May, strategists predicted a much greater involvement by evangelical churches in this election.

"We are working with all the churches who are willing to work with us," said Frank Schubert, the campaign manager for the initiative. "It's woven together to form what we hope will be the largest grass-roots campaign in California history."

Organizers said the ministers on the call lead congregations totaling about 1 million people.
Garlow is the author of debunking books Cracking Da Vinci's Code and The Secret: Revealed.
