Dr. Laura Quits Show Over N-Word Fallout

Dr. Laura Schlessinger told Larry King tonight that she is leaving her show after her contract expires at the end of the year. Schlessinger says she's lost her First Amendment rights after repeatedly saying the N-word on the air. After the show first aired last week, Media Matters immediately launched a call for advertisers to cancel their contracts.

PhoboQuotable - Maggie Gallagher

"American politics are in a quasi-revolutionary phase. The people, symbolized first in the eruptions of Tea Parties, are rebelling against elites who believe they can ignore our voices and our values.

"Rush Limbaugh had his finger on the truth. In the nearly half-hour speech he gave after the Proposition 8 ruling ("the American people are boiling over!"), Rush said that Walker "did not just slap down the will of 7 million voters. Those 7 million voters were put on trial -- a kangaroo court where everything was stacked against them. ... Those of you who voted for Prop 8 in California are guilty of hate crimes. You were thinking discrimination. That's what this judge has said! Truly unprecedented."

"Yes, it is. We are entering into a new phase in the battle not only for marriage, but for self-government, for the legitimacy of the views and values of the Ameircan people. This is a fight we cannot dodge, and must and will win. Buckle down, it's going to be a ride!" - Maggie Gallagher, calling for revolution over same-sex marriage.

Ann Coulter To Appear At National Convention Of Self-Loathing Homosexuals

Bulletin from Quisling National Headquarters:
GOProud, the only national organization representing gay conservatives and their allies, announced that conservative author Ann Coulter is headlining their first annual Homocon – a party to celebrate gay conservatives. “The gay left has done their best to take all the fun out of politics, with their endless list of boycotts and protests. Homocon is going to be our annual effort to counter the ‘no fun police’ on the left,” said Christopher Barron, Chairman of the Board of GOProud. “I can’t think of any conservative more fun to headline our inaugural party then the self-professed ‘right-wing Judy Garland’ – Ann Coulter.” “I can promise you, Homocon 2010 will be a hell of a lot more fun than chaining yourself to the White House fence,” concluded Barron.
General admission tickets are $250 to hear the woman who called a Democratic candidate for president a "faggot."

Other choice quotes from GOProud's new BFF:

On Islam: "We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity."
On Judaism: "We just want Jews to be perfected. That's what Christianity is."
On education: "Illiterate students knifing one another between acts of sodomy in the stairwell is just one of the many eggs that had to be broken to make the left's omelette of transferring power from states to the federal government."
On terrorism: "My only regret with Timothy Mcveigh is he did not go to the New York Times building.
On feminism: "I think [women] should be armed but should not vote. Women have no capacity to understand how money is earned."

OHIO: Maggie Gallagher Tells Crowd "Hate Is Not A Family Value"

At yet another hilariously unattended stop on the Hate Tour™, Maggie Gallagher tells the "crowd" that "hate is not a family value." Incidentally, Brian Brown has been noticeably absent from the last two stops on the tour. Embarrassed by the lousy response, Miss Brown?

Concerned Women Are Concernicated

"No question, the case should be appealed to the United States Supreme Court. This case goes to the fundamental issue of our right to self-government. We hope the Supreme Court affirms this right and rejects the idea that no rules apply when it comes to homosexual 'rights.'

"This case is just the latest example of the judicial tyranny CWA's more than 500,000 members around the country are committed to fighting. It highlights the importance of the current nomination of Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court, someone who has already circumvented the law to impose homosexual 'rights' in denying access to the military recruiters at Harvard Law School. And it reminds senators of how important their 'advice and consent' role is when selecting judges." - Concerned Women for America CEO Penny Nance, who should be concerned about botox poisoning instead of today's affirmation by the DC Appeals Court that minority rights cannot be put to a public vote.

Anita Bryant Leaves Her Sewer

The original Queen of Hate, Anita Bryant, will be slithering out of whatever sewer she's been hiding in all these years to appear at an anti-gay event in Oklahoma tomorrow. Gossip Boy reports:
The controversial Queen of Gay Hate, Anita Bryant, will be returning to the stage on July 9, 2010 for a patriotic performance in Yukon, OK before an Oklahoma-based group that has become nationally known for its malevolent attacks on gays and whose members include the husband of leading homophobe State Rep. Sally Kern. Bryant’s appearance is part of a two-day conference spanning July 9th and 10th calling for a return to America’s Christian heritage, a crusade against Muslims and gays, and will coincide with the first ever Patriot Pastors Tea Party. The headliner for the event is the widely discredited David Barton, who, to push his Christian heritage agenda, has been caught numerous times fudging history and fabricating quotes that he would then claim were made by the Founding Fathers. Barton has gained criticism for speaking at Christian Identity gatherings that called for the execution of homosexuals.
Here's a flashback from 1977.

Quote Of The Day - Andrea Lafferty

"This charge is supposed to carry some sort of credibility among leftists, but the fact is that the Southern Poverty Law Center is long known to be a leftwing hate group that smears any organization opposed to liberalism, illegal immigration or the LGBT agenda. Suggesting the SPLC has any credibility is as absurd as quoting members of the Flat Earth Society.

"The SPLC can’t seem to locate leftist hate groups. They don’t list the Communist Party, USA, the Workers World Party, Code Pink, MoveOn.org, Daily Kos, the Huffington Post, People for the American Way or other leftist groups as spewing hatred from their web sites or from their leaders. Several of these groups openly seek the violent overthrow of our nation. The SPLC is the group that wrote a memo used by Obama’s Homeland Security Department claiming that veterans and pro-lifers were dangerous to national security Actually, it is a badge of honor for TVC to be listed by the SPLC as a 'hate group.' It proves we’re effective in challenging liberalism, socialism, and the LGBT agenda. " - Traditional Values Coalition spokesdouche Andrea Lafferty, saying that she's proud to be identified as a repulsive, knuckle-dragging, bigoted, hate-filled shrew.

Ann Coulter: I'm A Hate Crime Victim

In advance of Ann Coulter's speech tonight at the University of Ottawa, a school administrator has emailed her with a caution that she should remember that Canada's laws about hate speech are much more restrictive than in the United States. Coulter says that was a hate crime and she is filing a complaint.
Speaking to students and academics at the University of Western Ontario on Monday night, Ms. Coulter said the email sent to her on Friday by François Houle, vice-president academic and provost of the University of Ottawa, targeted her as a member of an identifiable group and as such, she will be filing a complaint with the Human Rights Commission alleging hate speech. "I'm sure the Human Rights Commission will get to the bottom of it," Ms. Coulter said to loud cheers from the 800-strong audience. "I think I'm the victim of a hate crime here. Either what [Mr. Houle] did was a hate crime, or the whole commission is B.S." In Mr. Houle's email, a copy of which was obtained by the National Post, the administrator urges Ms. Coulter to weigh her words with "respect and civility in mind" when she speaks at the University of Ottawa campus on Tuesday.
During last night's speech in Ontario, Coulter ridiculed gay rights activists for comparing their struggles to the civil rights movement.

PhoboQuotable - Slaggie Gilamonster

"In the spring of 2009, a few states moved to gay marriage and public opinion seemed to shift abruptly in gay marriage's favor. But by May of that year, support for gay marriage just as abruptly tumbled. Why?

"I believe I was the first person, in the National Review cover story The Carrie Effect, to publicly credit the impact of Carrie Prejean. Pre-Carrie, even most conservative media outlets avoided gay marriage. Carrie gave Fox News and major radio talk show hosts a vehicle for talking about the issue that they understood and liked. The general public was exposed to the truth that the majority continue to oppose gay marriage and that gay marriage advocates are not about tolerance but about imposing their views and punishing dissent, I argued. [snip]

"How can one beautiful young woman make such an outsized difference? It's because gay marriage advocates are no longer persuading people they are right on marriage; they are suppressing the expression of opposing opinions by raising the cost of speaking up in favor of marriage, while at the same time attempting to make Americans believe that gay marriage won't have any consequences. Carrie's ordeal made the first process visible and the second idea hard to swallow." - Maggie Gallagher, citing a pollster's claim that public support for marriage equality nosedived during the Miss Ladyfingers USA controversy.

Gallagher notes parenthetically that the same pollster says public support for marriage equality has since returned to pre-Ladyfingers level, which, of course, shoots down the premise for her entire column. But logic has never been Maggie's strong suit. Nor is the truth, for she makes no mention of her furious backpedaling from Prejean during the sex tape scandal, during which all mention of Miss Ladyfingers magically vanished from NOM's website.

Concerned Women Are Concerned About Violent Homofascist Predators

The Concerned Women for America today filed a Supreme Court brief in support of the attempt to suppress the names of those that signed Washington state's homophobic Referendum 71. Because them violent homofascist predators iz gonna whup somebody!
Penny Nance, CEO for Concerned Women for America, said, "CWA seeks to protect the individuals who signed the petition from having their support of Referendum 71, their personal information, and the address of their family's home globally publicized on the Internet by groups with a history of harassment and intimidation against those opposed to the homosexual viewpoint." Maureen Richardson, State Director for CWA of Washington, said, "Privacy is a big issue. The people's right to 'exercise the legislative power' through referenda and initiatives will be severely hampered by publicizing names through Internet listings, etc. In a perfect world where others do not wish us harm, public disclosure of citizens' personal information made available on a referendum or initiative might be acceptable, but in a world where advocates are threatened as I have been, making it easier for predators to access their victims is not necessarily in the public interest and certainly not in the victim's."
Oral arguments on the case begin in the U.S. Supreme Court on April 28th.

PhoboQuotable - Slaggie Gilamonster

"I'm not surprised that Miss Beverly Hills, Lauren Ashley, opposes gay marriage -- after all 45 percent of young Californians voted for Prop 8, as did 7 million Californians generally. But I have to say, I am impressed with her courage in coming forward and for speaking up for Carrie. The elected officials of city of Beverly Hills are not demonstrating tolerance or kindness by continuing the avalanche of hatred against supporters of Prop 8." - Maggie Gallagher, effectively endorsing Lauren Ashley's statement that the Bible calls for gays to be put to death.

PhoboQuotable - NH Rep. Nancy Elliott

“During the executive session on House Bill 1590 I made a statement concerning the curriculum in the Nashua school system which I believed to be true. Upon inquires from the speaker, I repeated the statement. This statement made in the Judiciary Committee had caused some controversy so I went back to my source for the statement to verify the information that I had received. I found that I could not confirm the accuracy of the information. I am compelled by the fact that the statement cannot be verified that I withdraw the statement I made in committee last Tuesday regarding the Nashua schools." - New Hampshire state Rep. Nancy Elliott, admitting that she's a fucking pig-faced liar who totally made up her ridiculous "fifth graders are being taught to wiggle their penises in each others' excrement" story. But she still doesn't do anal.

Linda Harvey: Protecting LGBT Students From Beatings Is Fascist

Linda Harvey at Mission America is screaming about Rep. Jared Polis' federal bill to protect LGBT students from bullying and assault. Because beating the gay out of kids is the Christian way.
The purpose of this bill is not what is being stated, but is quite simply to mandate in public schools one acceptable viewpoint on the issue of homosexuality, using purported violence or harassment as the rationale, and the power of the feds as the hammer. The goal is to silence those who may warn about or object to student expression of homosexuality or gender confusion. Such warnings might literally save a child’s life. Founder of the radical homosexual group GLSEN, Kevin Jennings, as head of the “Safe and Drug Free Schools" office at the Department of Education, and secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius (a supporter of “gay” rights when she was governor of Kansas), can create pro-homosexual programs and policies to their hearts’ delight if this bill passes. If a school receives federal funds from one of these agencies or any other, it is subject to the new rules that agency devises to conform to this bill. And states can be held liable for violations, so state governments will have incentive to put pressure for compliance on local schools. It doesn’t get much more fascist than this! It’s a sexual revolutionary’s dream.
Yep, protecting students from beatings and harassment is fascist.

VERY FUCKING RELATED: GLAAD is coordinating vigils around the country to mark the two year anniversary of the murder of 15 year old student Lawrence King, who was shot dead in his classroom because he was gay.

PhoboQuotable - Michelle Malkin

"Hollywood and political celebrities are such lemmings. AIDS ribbons. Foreign baby adoptions. Livestrong bracelets. Now, every fame-seeker and left-wing panderer wants his/her mouth duct-taped to show solidarity with the gay marriage movement. The latest slave to fashion? Cindy McCain, following in the oh-so-edgy-for-Tinseltown footsteps of her daughter, MEghan. Who’s silencing these Prop. 8 opponents? They’re more overexposed than Mariah Carey’s bosom.

"They can talk and talk and talk without fear of retribution, intimidation, or physical violence. Meanwhile, Prop. 8 supporters and donors have been hounded, threatened, blacklisted, beaten, and forced to resign from their jobs for exercising their political free speech. Cindy and MEghan McCain’s silence on the continued thuggery of their anti-Prop. 8 duct-tape wielders speaks volumes." - The relentlessly detestable Michelle Malkin, treading the familiar wingnut path of citing a handful of incidents to condemn tens of millions of Americans.
