HomoQuotable - Matt Moore

"I just ran across Graham Moore's Oscar acceptance speech from last night, described by The Huffington Post to be the night's most moving speech. With Graham Moore, I resonate: Stay weird, stay different. But I would add: don't stay in sin. Acknowledge that you are a sinner in need of saving. Believe that Christ paid for your sins in dying on your behalf, and embrace the righteousness of Jesus' that God wants to clothe you with. Turn away, with God's help, from the sin in you that wants to destroy you. And then embrace your unique personality and morally neutral dispositions and interests as a gift from God. Stay weird, stay different – but do it in purity, to the glory of a God who loves you and wants you to know Him." - Ex-gay activist Matt Moore, writing for the Christian Post. As we know, Moore occasionally has found purity via Grindr. And by writing for another Christian website that has twice published calls for his execution. (Tipped by JMG reader Scott)

HomoQuotable - Matt Moore

"Our gay, 'married' neighbors are in sin and alienated from God, but they are still His image bearers and because of that they possess a dignity that is worthy of our love and respect. They are fatally sick, dead in their sins, hostile to God and willfully serving a master (Satan) that hates and violently opposes us (the church), but we are called to love and embrace them – not as believers, but as fellow image bearers – in the very state they’re in. We aren’t called by God to curl our lips at them, teach our children to hate them, or relentlessly blame them for the disintegration of our society. We are called by God to invite them into our lives, into our social circles, and even into our living rooms. Christians, while possessing the greatest love of all within them, have so often been superseded by other non-Christian communities in attitudes of kindness and hospitality, and that’s a horrible shame." - Ex-gay activist Matt Moore, conceding that the marriage battle is lost and asking Christians to be be nicer about it. This he does by writing for a website which two days ago published a call for his execution.

UPDATE: Freedom Outpost has now deleted its July 2014 post calling for the "lawful execution of homosexuals." The column was authored by Philip Stallings, who also wrote a now-deleted October 2014 post for Matt Barber's BarbWire. The Freedom Outpost article was approvingly linked to on Sunday by BarbWire columnist Tim Brown. Yesterday that post was also deleted. The original Freedom Outpost column remains viewable via the Wayback Machine.

Matt Moore: Christians Don't Hate Gays, Real Hate Is Throwing You Off A Roof

"Intolerance. Hatred. Bigotry. Oppression. Violation of human rights. Religious extremism. Evil. These are words that I see used by Americans, both gay and straight, to describe the Church’s stance on sexuality, everyday. These are words that I see fill my email inbox describing my character because of my biblical stance on sexuality, everyday. These are words that I see the Western LGBT community hang like a banner over all things associated with the person and teaching of Jesus Christ, every day. Disagree with us if you wish – that’s your prerogative. We’re not going to throw you off a roof for it. But please, stop thinking that we hate you. Step back and look at the world and re-evaluate your definitions of love and hate. What ISIS is doing is what real hatred looks like. We love you, and we want you to know the true God and His Son, Jesus Christ. We will still be your friends if you refuse. We will still love you and serve you and walk through life with you if you keep plugging your ears when we talk about Jesus. Because, at the end of the day, we don’t hate you." - Matt Moore, writing for Matt Barber's BarbWire.

PREVIOUSLY ON JMG: In August 2014 Moore claimed to have no idea that BarbWire columnists have called for imprisoning and executing gay Americans. In June 2014 Moore declared that transgender kids are possessed by demons. In February 2013 Moore was spotted on Grindr in New Orleans at the same time he was writing vicious "ex-gay" screeds for the Christian Post. After being confronted, Moore confessed that it was a "major disobedience to Christ" to have been cruising for huge uncut cocks on Grindr. He then declared that he had sold his computer and "put a lock on my phone" so that he wouldn't succumb to the delicious temptations of huge uncut cocks. The following week he posted a now-deleted YouTube video in which he declared that he rejects the term "ex-gay" because he's just as attracted to huge uncut cocks as when he found Jesus.

HomoQuotable - Matt Moore

"Am I now straight? Am I now normal? Am I now free from same sex desires and attracted solely to women? No, no and no. My heart was changed instantaneously when I trusted in Christ and began to follow Him, but my mind was not. I now have a heart that genuinely loves God and desires to worship Him, but at the same time, I’m still utterly messed up and damaged by sin. The Lord is working in me and renewing my mind day by day, shaping me more and more into the reflection of Him that I was created to be. But it’s been a process. And it will continue to be a process until I receive a new, perfect and sinless body in the age to come. When that day comes, the fullness of what Jesus purchased for me will be given to me: full freedom from every sinful thing that restrains my enjoyment and worship of God. But even now, in this messed up damaged flesh, I have experienced some change in my sexuality over the past four years. I can’t deny that. And the shifting in my sexual desires is a direct result of my grace-given love for God. I’ve grown in my disgust of homosexual relations because I see what a twisting and perversion it is of the image of God." - Matt Moore, writing for Matt Barber's BarbWire.

HomoQuotable - Matt Moore

"I hope ya’ll will believe me when I say that I hate the word 'gay.' I hate all the presuppositions attached to it. Like the presupposition that a fixed gay (or straight or bi, for that matter) sexual orientation is a legitimate reality. I don’t believe that sexual orientation, as culture at large defines it, is real — and I know that I am in the teeniest of the tiniest minorities in holding that position. People who don’t follow Jesus or embrace a biblical worldview laugh in my face — pretty hysterically, actually — when I tell them that I don’t view sexuality through the lens of 'gay' or 'straight' or 'bi.' To be clear, I am attracted to the same sex and pretty much only the same sex at this point in my life (well, I am attracted to Beyonce. But who isn’t!?). But there are some Christians, even among my own little same-sex-attracted-but-celibate camp, that also reject my position and hold fast to the idea of people possessing a fixed sexual orientation. And as far back as I can remember experiencing sexual impulses, 99% of the time I’ve only experienced them toward guys. But this doesn’t mean that I have a gay sexual orientation; it means I have a broken, distorted sexuality (as we all do, in some way) which flows out of my broken, distorted heart (the kind of heart we all have)." - Matt Moore, in a post published today to the website of hate group leader Matt Barber. (The same post has also been published by the Christian Post.)

RELATED: On Friday night Moore interrupted my Twitter taunting of Porno Peter to send me a link to his personal blog where he whines about horrible and "intolerant" gay bloggers such as myself. The exchange that followed is below.
I told him to start here. Obviously, today's post on BarbWire is evidence that Moore remains unconvinced.

"Neither you nor your psychologist nor your pastor nor your doctor will ever fully know why your kid is attracted to the same sex, but you can know that it isn’t your fault. Yes, you are a sinner and yes, you have sinned against your kids… and yes, you do need forgiveness for that — and you have it fully if you’re in Christ. But don’t blame yourself for their broken sexuality. There are a million different sinful things inside and outside of them (the main three being the flesh, the world and Satan) that have continually worked to shape, feed and further distort their sexual desires.

"I know this blog isn’t a fully comprehensive overview of the doctrine of original sin, etc., but I just wanted to briefly tell the parents out there to stop beating yourself up. Please, hate sin and hate all of it’s workings and twistings and distortions in your own heart and in your kid’s heart — but don’t hate yourself for your kid’s sexuality. You are not to blame for this. Pray for you kid. My grandmother prayed and prayed and prayed for me, and the Lord moved on behalf of her prayers for His glory. They may be out and proud and accepting of their broken sexuality now, but I can tell you from my own experience that the Lord can change their minds (and hearts)… and He can do it instantaneously." - Alleged "ex-gay" Matt Moore, in an open letter to the parents of gay kids that was published today on the website of hate group leader Matt Barber.

"Ex-Gay" Grindr Cruiser Matt Moore:
Trans Kids Are Possessed By Demons

"I get angry because of stories about kids like [six year-old transgender boy] Ryland. Angry at people. Angry as sin. Angry at Satan. I am not the type of person that believes Satan is hiding behind every rock, but I do think that there is a demonic element at play when little girls actually start to think they’re little boys, or little boys actually start to think they’re little girls. Actually, I’m sure that demons are all up in that. God created men and women to reflect His image and Satan is all about distorting God’s image. How better a way to do that than to get the image bearers to go against their own physical and biological make up? So-called transgender-ism is a literal rejection of God’s creation and image. Satan loves it." - "Ex-gay" loon Matt Moore, writing for Matt Barber's website about the viral video that now has over five million views.

Matt Moore: Don't Call Me "Ex-Gay"

Grindr's most famous (former!) customer wants you to know that he's "just as attracted to men" as he was three years ago when he became a Christian and therefore he rejects the classification "ex-gay."   One wonders how he made this clip without a computer.

Matt Moore: I Sold My Computer So That I'm Not Tempted By Hot Hot Men

"I have sold my computer and have had someone put a lock on my phone where I cannot download apps or access the Internet through a non-filtered browser. Ultimately, this isn't the solution. My heart being captured by the grace of God and brought into humble obedience is the solution. But not taking precautions is dumb, so these are the precautions I have taken.  The same thing I have always said: Jesus is better than sin. It doesn't matter what the specific sin is, Jesus is better. He is more valuable, comforting and satisfying than homosexual behavior, and I can say that from experience. If you fall, get back up and keep pursuing Him. If Jesus went as far as to die for your sin, why would He not help you up when you stumble? The world will tell you to embrace your homosexual desires because it'll make you happy in this life. Jesus tells you to deny yourself and follow Him and promises to give you eternal life if you do. You must decide everyday who you will believe and who you will follow: the way of the world or the Way of Jesus Christ." - "Ex-Gay" activist Matt Moore, in an interview with the Christian Post.
