GOP Rep. Peter King: Cantor Loss May Spur Another Shutdown Stunt

From the clip:
"What Ted Cruz did last year was suicidal," King said, alluding to the Cruz-engineered government shutdown that cost the GOP mightily in the polls last October. "I hope that doesn't become party policy. So we can't allow Eric's defeat last night allow the Ted Cruzes and Rand Pauls to take over the party, or their disciples to take over the party. Because this is not conservative to me. Shutting down the government down is not conservative."

GOP Rep. Peter King: Rand Paul Doesn't Deserve To Be In the Senate

Mediaite recaps one of the meow-rich GOP infighting moments we've seen in quite a while:
Appearing on Fox News Channel on Sunday, Rep. Peter King (R-NY) defended the National Security Agency from attacks on its intelligence gathering practices. He specifically said the charges made against the NSA by Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) are “lies” and that he “doesn’t deserve to be a U.S. Senator.” “Rand Paul does not know what he’s talking about,” King said after being asked to respond to Paul’s comments about the NSA. “And, Rand Paul is really spreading fear among the American people.”
Tea Party sites spent yesterday calling for King's head.

Rep. Peter King Calls For Prosecuting Journalist Glenn Greenwald Over NSA Leak

Rep. Peter King (R-NY) today called for the prosecution of openly gay journalist Glenn Greenwald for publishing the story about NSA leaker Edward Snowden. King appeared this afternoon on Fox News to make his threat.
“Not only did [Greenwald] disclose this information, he said he has names of CIA agents and assets around the world and threatening to disclose that,” King said when asked by host Megyn Kelly why he wants to prosecute the reporter. “I think [prosecuting reporters] should be very targeted and very selective and a rare exception. In this case, when you have someone who discloses secrets like this and threatens to release more, yes, there has to be legal action taken against him.” He then asserted: “This is a very unusual case with life-and-death implications for Americans.”
